I bought this product because the previous one (same model, same reference but outdated warranty) had a sticky key problem (key that stays pressed when released). The new hardware has the same problem, I have the problem on 3 different machines (1 desktop, 1 macbook and 1 laptop) software up to date, windows up to date. The problem happens about 1 or 2 times in a 6-7h session, it's small but real and it's a shame for the price, as I have two that have the problem, one right out of the box. There is a little bit of documentation online but no "fix". I play with both of them quite often, they work well and apart from this random and non-reproducible problem the whole thing does its job. The first one is almost 4 years old and the second one a little more than a year. It's robust, I carry it everywhere to play on the move, it's fairly light and can be dismantled (wrist rest). It's difficult to play again with a classic keyboard, so much the interest of this system is comfort!
Super Top for gaming, fast and intuitive handling, I recommend it, very good product.
The keys are 100% customisable and the lighting has several nice effects, but it is a bit big if you have small hands.

I took this key pad to replace my faithful G13 which was starting to show the effects of almost 10 years of loyal service. I would have taken a G13, but it has not been done for a long time. This Tartarus already has a few less buttons, but honestly, there's nothing to penalize it. The Tartarus' scroll wheel is a real plus in some games, or for some software. The G13's screen is a real plus: you can use the screen to add a profile, or to select one. With the Tartarus, you have to use the Synapse 3 software... Not very ergonomic software, but fortunately complete. The big drawback of this Synapse 3 is that it only recognises the QWERTY keyboard, which is quite annoying. As for the finish, it's all plastic, of decent quality, to be seen in time. The wrist rest is made of "fake leather" like on some headphones and this type of material is not known to last in time, too bad for this choice. The mecha-membrane keys are a good idea, a mechanical return but a membrane activation but there is a but: the key is not necessarily activated by the click as the click is completely dissociated from the membrane activation. This is a minor issue but it needs to be clarified. In the end, a very good key pad despite the drivers being a bit ergonomic and the finish being all plastic but correct.
The product was as I expected, a little problem during delivery with Chronopost but finally arrived at the right place when you push them a little, concerning the product itself a single USB plug for the pad a pleasant surprise from Razer during the installation the software managing the macro and light is automatic no need to go and look for it on the web so that's a plus, personally I have big hands so not easy to configure for FPS type games but very good product .
It's a great piece of equipment, but I prefer useful equipment to bling-bling... well, it's both! it's beautiful and essential. you can feel the quality. I've had it for over six months and I couldn't do without it. practical for games, yes, but also for software! the directional keys for navigation, the programmable keyboard shortcuts on each key, it's a real time-saver.
The only downside (but it won't take away a single star) is the wrist rest. only two positions. i would have preferred like my old cyborg strike 7 keyboard. a sliding system and adjustable in height too.
Otherwise 95% good for this product!
Bought to play mainly FPS, preferably for the game Overwatch. Adjustable of course, and the noise is not that bad after all, the power is there. In short, I'm not disappointed.
Razer seems to be going through a bad patch at the moment... My Tartarus II broke down after only 3 months of use, the contact of some keys remained stuck despite the release. Ldlc quickly exchanged this defective product and I thank them for that, unfortunately the new one was afflicted with the same problems as soon as it was unpacked! Since then, this device has disappeared from the market (like the Orbweaver) and is said to be 'out of stock'...
I think it's better to wait a month or two for Razer to get their act together and correct these design errors.
Ordered Sunday the 13th, received Wednesday the 16th, well Thursday the 17th because I ran into a chronopost driver with a hair in his hand...
The package was open, but the gamepad box was still sealed so that's good. The package was well done by the way, kudos to LDLC for the speed and efficiency.
As for the product, it's better than I expected. The gamepad reproduces the left side of the keyboard natively (without needing to launch the synapse application). So I'm very happy.
The keyboard works just as well with Shadow with no latency compared to the mac keyboard. I'm taking one star off because I think the product should have a built-in memory so that it doesn't depend on the application (and the internet connection) to save macros, colour management etc.
Bought it to play FPS/RPG, I end up using it for Lightroom. My workflow has been multiplied by 2. The strength of this mini keyboard is that ALL the keys are customizable (keys, scroll wheels, directional cross, etc.). In one hand I could put all my Lightroom shortcuts. A real pleasure. The bemol. The software provided with. Still in beta it can create conflicts and make other software crash.
I looked for a cheaper gamepad from the competition but couldn't find one. Efficient in game (Diablo3), bought to avoid tiring the keys of the laptop. Some bugs under Mac OS, the utility doesn't always start with the computer, and sometimes asks to be opened before playing. The utility is in English, but it recognizes the computer keyboard as qwerty and not azerty, so it's not always easy to assign the keys to the pad. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a choice between qwerty and azerty. -I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it on a Mac or not, but it's not a good idea to use it on a Windows computer.
Since 2001 I was using the Microsoft Strategic Commander, an excellent and very practical product. Unfortunately, Microsoft forgot about this product and, under Windows 7, it no longer worked well. So I needed a replacement.
The Razer Tartarus 2.0 is a satisfactory piece of hardware, not as practical as the Commander, but acceptable.
The drivers are a frustration, though. I downloaded the official driver from the Razer website but it never found my Tartarus. I had to download the "advanced" beta in order to use it.
Other than that, no worries, it works fine.
If you've never used this kind of device before, you'll probably be pleased with it - after downloading and installing both versions of drivers from Razer (because if you only install the beta version, it won't work properly).
