Impressions

Finally a discreet, stable and powerful Wifi access point. It replaces the wifi of my freebox one (lousy) and a Linksys 2.4G (stable but slow) in a 170 m2 house. I now have a 2.4G network for the whole house and a 5G network for the living room (I even lowered its transmission power). I installed the manager on my PC and configured the access point in a few minutes. I've been using it for about a month now, and it's not a problem at all, I forget about it. It's a good idea to have some knowledge of networks so as not to get lost in the configuration, this system is designed to manage much more than a wifi AP. It is not possible to configure the hardware directly as with most consumer devices, everything is done from the manager which propagates the configuration to all Unify compatible devices. On a very large house, a small business or a hotel, the configuration of several of these APs should be downright trivial. Power over Ethernet is also interesting. The box is powered directly through the Ethernet cable, making the connection unobtrusive. I used the supplied converter as I don't have a POE Ethernet switch (yet). The AP is barely warm.

Never again

Antenna has been in use for almost 3 years. I have to reboot it almost every day otherwise I have no wifi connection. Transfer rate between 2 pc's, more or less 1 MB/sec. This evening I try to connect to it but their great program doesn't detect any ap. By far the worst antenna I've had. I will recommend another ap but never again this brand!!!

Good, but watch out for updates

Replaces very effectively the (shamefully anemic) wifi of my freebox one. It covers my entire house (170 M2 with floor) in 2.4Ghz and efficiently sprays the living room in 5Ghz. It is necessary to install an application on a PC in order to configure and monitor its activity, but this is not a constraint in the sense that this application does not have to run permanently. Once configured, the Access Point is autonomous. Note that you need to have some knowledge of the network to avoid getting lost in all the menus. They are numerous and regular at the moment (end of 2021), but unfortunately very hazardous :-(. I found one, by trial and error, which does the job with my equipment and I avoid rushing to the new ones (4.3.28 very stable, 5.43.46 faster but more capricious). I tested with 2 equivalent APs, it's quite magical and the remote application takes its meaning. Only one visible network, automatic switchover, better coverage management, etc. However, only 1 AP is enough for my needs, I keep the other one for my next garden parties ;-)

        Adopted by the family.

Bought to equip a large house
After half an hour of training (but I'm not used to these products), the device responds perfectly.
The device responds perfectly. All the equipment in the house is now connected to the wifi which works perfectly.

It is connected in POE only on an Ethernet cable connected to the box and the wifi speed is very very satisfactory.
It's been connected for 15 days and in intensive use (it's the school holidays...), and all is well.
It is not hot to the touch and works without any interruption.

        I recommend it.

        It works well

The configuration is not great: you need a phone to install the application that will allow you to find your wifi access point. I put it behind a revolution freebox whose wifi is slow in terms of speed. Once the wifi point is found by the app (that's the hard part), then it's fast and works very well.
        For :
It works great now, the speeds are very correct compared to the wifi of the freebox, and even if there are several devices connected at the same time.
It's a good idea to have a power supply included in the box.

Cons: no small Ethernet cable provided, so 2 cables are needed: one between the router and the power supply, the other between the power supply and the wifi point = provide 2 Ethernet cables, CAT 6 at least but largely sufficient.
The app has difficulty finding the wifi point at the start, so don't hesitate to reboot the wifi point.
        In the end :
Once installed, since 2 months, no problem to report.

        Very good product

Requires a Wi-Fi Controller, otherwise works very well and has good range with many configuration options

        Very good product

Let's start at the beginning: I don't know anything, but nothing. That didn't stop me from installing this hotspot in a flash.
We needed full wifi coverage for my place of work and I chose this AP following the many positive comments.
Our needs were very basic and my knowledge even more so, so I did the installation in standalone mode and everything works very well.
The whole thing is very discreet, rather aesthetic and above all efficient.
I am therefore delighted with my purchase.

        good wifi connection

I've been using it for a while now and it is very easy to install on my PC, tablet, TV, e-reader (no need for instructions).
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and would recommend it to anyone.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the fast delivery, as always.

        Very good product

Very easy to install, especially with the smartphone application.
POE powered, which limits the need for a single cable. (POE source included in the box)

        Very complicated to set up

Application all in English. Many options where I don't understand anything. I went to the shop (St Priest) to ask for explanations for installation, I was told that they didn't know, they couldn't know all their products. I chose a specialist shop to get good advice. Given the result, first and last time at LDLC!

        Boosting wifi in the home

Ubiquiti is powered by a power over Ethernet system, so a single connection on the box provides power and ethernet connection to the box without overloading it. Interesting.
A few small trials and errors for the installation, and you create a new Wifi next to the standard Wifi if you already have one with your box.
I'm not an expert, but with the bandwidth measurement tools, about 4 times faster than the standard wifi of my Free Revolution box

        Great product

I've been using it for a while now, but I love it, you can set everything up, turn it off when you don't want to use it, it's performance is great, I've also taken the cloud key controller and I must say I'm amazed.
I've been using it for a while now and I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product.

        Excellent product

I haven't got to the bottom of the possibilities of this device yet, but the various possibilities, performance etc... are really impressive.
The Ubiquiti V5 controller for managing one or more APs is also remarkable.

        At least it works

I don't know anything about it, I was just fed up with access points that don't work properly, that you have to reboot all the time, that are slow, etc... (Asus N66 not to mention). A geeky buddy of mine told me: "go see Ubiquity". I didn't use all the features, I just plugged it in, entered the key and basta, it works great, it's fast, no crashes. Normal, you know... Good stuff.

A Wifi Access Point that has it all

Affordable, this Wifi access point is. Especially when you look at its features!
It allows the management of multiple SSIDs (classic) but which can be partitioned into VLANs (that changes everything).
Of course, it is possible to regulate the emission of the radio signal, to cut the access at certain hours, to manage an identification portal (open access point), to identify the users by RADIUS, etc...

In addition, there is everything you need to hang it on the wall or ceiling.

Note that it is made to be powered by "passive" PoE (which the switches and routers of the brand manage) but that it is sold with a power adapter that will do very well!

Used in combo with an EdgeRouter PoE 5 router, it does the job perfectly.

        - nice design
        - very simple configuration
        - comfortable range
        - not a single crash since it was installed
        - the 2 freqs wifi is really a nice plus
