I have been using this product for several years now and it has been working very well.
The configuration is relatively easy, I placed it on the second floor knowing that the Bbox is in the garage, this repeater goes far enough to get the signal and repeats it easily on the third floor.
Beware of a possible trap: it's a repeater, you can't use the ethernet as an input to receive the internet and create a wifi signal from that, it's only an output to connect a device, so a device that doesn't need more than 300 Mb/s of speed, too slow for popcorn for example.
After several months of use I would say that its biggest problem is that it stops transmitting every 1 to 3 weeks, you just have to unplug it and plug it back in again, but maybe that's because I put it on a multi-socket rather than a wall socket (not always easy to find a free socket in a house when you like computers...)
The product was just what I needed. But the installation was complicated. The English manual which refers to download links but at the same time explains the procedure in manual, this makes the two modes step on each other. I never managed to install the repeater in duplicate mode of my box to benefit from the extended mode of my box. So the manual needs to be seriously reviewed.
Easy to install, this WiFi extender allows you to reach shadowy areas.
Good bandwidth.
I filter all the devices in the house with the MAC address and therefore no desire to switch to wep type filtering, after 2 hours of handling, ten reset of the repeater, several crashes of the repeater web interface. I still haven't managed to do the installation.
The TP Link help on the web is badly translated, the paper help with the device is ridiculously short (but of course we have it in 15 languages)
I strongly advise against this product if you have a network configured for mac filtering.

The product works well. I had to use the android app for initial setup, configuring a web browser via ethernet didn't work right away.

Renting in a house, my only tel socket for the box is not central and the rooms upstairs were receiving very poor wifi. I've been using this product for a while now and I'm very pleased with it.
The product is very easy to get started with, you just have to read the instructions and the configuration website carefully and have your box key with you.
It is also very efficient as I can watch streaming movies in rooms where wifi was almost non-existent.
The set up was very simple and now the wifi works very well throughout the house. No untimely disconnections and smooth navigation.

Via the application, you can even choose a time slot for the device not to work.
The renaming of the two networks is a bit "messy" as it renames itself as "_EXT".
On the other hand, if you have a low quality internet connection, I think that the device will not suit you. Living in the Belgian countryside and having a drinkable connection, it is limited. (but that doesn't change the quality of the device)

The product meets my expectations, works very well, and brings a real comfort of Wifi reception in my flat.
It's a great way to extend the network and has a lot of DHCP, access control, power scheduling etc... A great Android app as well as the web interface but beware http interface so not really top for network security with the Wifi password in clear in the config. It's a good idea to have a little bit of a look at it and see if it's a good idea to have a little bit of a look at it.
It's easy to connect in plug&play mode (without having to initialise the WPS configuration), good throughput (office use for an IP line via the ethernet connection integrated into the box).
The only problem is the occasional loss of signals, but nothing significant.

There is no power cable, this repeater plugs directly into a mains socket, just like a timer.
Very easy to configure with the ethernet cable supplied: just select the box and enter the connection password.
It allows you to reproduce exactly the same name as the box it repeats, it extends the signal in a transparent way, no need to register to the repeater if you are already registered to the box.

It installs in 5 mins. you plug it into a socket, it creates a wifi network, you connect to it in a browser (from PC, tablet or smartphone) to configure the network to be repeated, and it's gone.
The result is perfect for the intended purpose: I can access the home wifi network from outside the house and in the annex next door.
It is the same wifi network that is extended and not a new network with another name.
Maybe there are other configurations but I don't need more.
I've tested the speedtest application on a tablet and the result seems to be very good (25ms ping and 8mb throughput)
I bought this product to improve the RANGE
I had to contact the S A V several times, because the device coupled, but refused the identifiers and password for the residence. By telephone, impossible to contact Tp Link, I had to communicate by e-mail, in answer always of "copy and paste" of the procedure. I had to do it myself! In fact after replacing the box by a more recent version, the device was coupled, but Tp Link does not specify that some boxes are not adapted!
In operation, the device improves the speed, but the network being not famous, it does not improve the range at all
This AC WiFi repeater has an interesting feature if, like me, your box only transmits in 2.4 GHz: it can repeat the signal only on the 5 GHz band. This allowed me to improve the coverage on the first floor of the house, without clogging up the 2.4 GHz band.
The box does not heat up much, and it is nice and discreet.

A good quality product, small and aesthetically pleasing, it hides very well in the environment of an apartment or house. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, nothing to say about it. This is a beautiful, discreet and efficient device. Very practical, set up and adjusted in less than 5 minutes, it allowed me to have Wi-Fi in 5G without any more disconnections due to thick walls.
