Designed primarily for video without sacrificing photographic performance, the Canon EOS R6 V supports creators looking for cinematic quality in a compact and easy-to-handle body. Its 3:2 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor delivers detailed photos and allows you to record in RAW 7K up to 60p. Open Gate recording uses the entire sensor area to produce horizontal or vertical framing from the same shot, suited to different distribution channels. Its RF mount also provides access to a wide range of interchangeable Canon lenses, allowing you to shape each image freely.
Cinematic images down to the finest detail
The Canon EOS R6 V offers extensive creative flexibility thanks to 7K 60p RAW, oversampled 4K 60p and uncropped 4K 120p recording, ideal for creating smooth slow motion while retaining a wide field of view. Frame rates can even reach 180p in 2K or Full HD. The Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 profiles expand colour grading options and facilitate integration into demanding production workflows. For projects intended for multiple platforms, Open Gate 3:2, custom picture profiles, four-channel audio and proxy recording provide valuable flexibility both during shooting and editing.
Canon stabilisation and autofocus for capturing the moment
Thanks to its in-body image stabiliser, the EOS R6 V provides up to 7.5 stops of stabilisation with a compatible lens. Combined with the lens's optical stabilisation, this system produces particularly smooth handheld footage without systematically requiring an external stabiliser. The Canon Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology completes the system with face and eye detection, as well as tracking for people, animals and vehicles. In photography, the burst rate reaches approximately 40 frames per second with the electronic shutter, while pre-recording helps preserve the action that occurred just before the shutter button was fully pressed.
A tool designed down to the finest details for creators
The ergonomics of the EOS R6 V simplify both solo shooting and long-duration productions. Its tilting screen, front-mounted record button, zoom lever, Photo/Video switch and 12 customisable buttons make essential controls immediately accessible. Active cooling supports long sessions such as interviews, podcasts or demonstrations. A vertical thread and a dedicated interface facilitate content creation for social networks, while the two card slots allow internal backup, separation of photo and video files or proxy recording. Finally, UVC streaming up to 4K 60p via USB-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, full-size HDMI output and the digital multifunction shoe ensure effective integration into a connected production environment.
