This PCIe network card designed by StarTech.com allows you to easily add two 10GBase-T ports to your server or workstation. It is an affordable solution for applications requiring high bandwidth. It supports 10GbE over Cat 6 cabling up to 55 metres and Cat 6A cabling up to 100 metres. Compatible with a wide range of operating systems, this dual-port network card reduces network slowdowns/degradation when running data-intensive applications or processes such as FTP transfers and online storage/backup. This 2-port 10GBase-T PCI Express network card features the Broadcom BCM57416 chipset. It is designed to deliver the power, performance and advanced features you need for reliable network connections on your server or computer. Compliant with IEEE 802.1Q standards, this network card is an effective way to upgrade or replace your existing network ports with two dual-compatible 1G/10G RJ45 ports, providing up to 10 Gbps of throughput per port in each direction (20 Gbps total). It connects via a single four-lane PCI Express slot (x8 or higher). With a dual-profile design, the PCI Express network card fits easily into a wide range of computer or server chassis, regardless of their format. The card comes ready for installation in a full-height chassis and also includes a low-profile/half-height installation bracket that you can use if necessary.
