Add network connectivity
This StarTech.com USB-C/USB-A to Ethernet Adapter adds a wired Ethernet port to a computer via USB-C, with a built-in dongle for use with USB-A as well. It is designed for mobile workstations, desktop PCs and 2-in-1 devices that need a stable RJ45 connection at home, in the office or on the go. Its lightweight design and short integrated cable make it easy to install without an external power supply, while maintaining access to current and older Ethernet networks. Based on a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface (up to 5 Gbps), the adapter provides 1 RJ45 port compatible with 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation for BASE-T networks. It is based on the Realtek RTL8153B chipset and supports 9K Jumbo Frames, VLAN Tagging (IEEE 802.1Q), promiscuous mode, Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot. The connection operates in full-duplex mode, with auto MDIX and Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE). Two LEDs indicate activity and speed (up to 1 Gbps).
