The DES-1005C incorporates the energy-efficient 802.3az Ethernet standard, which saves energy and automatically reduces heat without compromising performance or functionality. The switches detect when a connected computer is turned off or there is no Ethernet traffic and put the port into standby mode, resulting in significant energy savings. In addition, the switch optimises the power consumption of each port based on the length of the connected cable, using only the power that is needed. These two features work together to provide you with automatic energy savings.
