Power budget by cable lengthIdeally, shorter cables consume less power and generate less current loss along their length, which is not the case with most devices that use the same amount of power through the cable regardless of whether it is 10 or 50 metres long.
The TL-SG105E analyses the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts the power consumption accordingly, instead of keeping the amount of power the same for each port in a conventional solution. |

Easy to implementThe TL-SG105E is easy to use and manage. The Auto MDI / MDI-X function on all ports avoids the use of crossover cables or Uplink ports. Auto-negotiation on each port detects the connection speed of a network device (among 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps) and adjusts its communication automatically to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

The TP-LINK TL-SG105E switch arrived quickly by parcel post, well packaged, purchased to bring together the Canal + and Orange UHD decoders on the network, functional, there are still two free ports; does its job, thanks LDLC
Very practical and compact little switch.
I didn't test the admin interface because I don't need any specific configuration.
It is provided with a small power transformer (sometimes not provided on POE switches: power over ethernet).
