Received 3 weeks ago, great laptop. Beautiful OLED screen, excellent battery and the 16:10 aspect ratio is great! The chassis/design of the laptop is also very nice, thin, solid and light!
Physically, the casing material is very pleasant and doesn't pick up fingerprints. The computer is - very - thin, and very well built: no sagging or creaking in use.
The OLED screen is superb, with perfect blacks, even if it is a little shiny. The 16:10 aspect ratio is a change I really like coming from a 16:9 2018 XPS 13. The borders are very thin, and the webcam sits at the top of the screen which feels more natural. ASUS provides a lot of tools to keep the screen looking good and no afterimages appearing. This involves a few concessions, such as preferential use of dark mode, and other techniques on offer.
The keyboard is good (ANSI format), its backlighting a little strong, and typing is pleasant and silent.
The battery lasts a really long time, for web use and video playback. I never heard the fans in these situations, only during a performance test offered by the MyASUS tool.
The sound is very good for a PC of this size, even the bass is audible.
Finally, the only negative point is the complexity of configuring Windows 11, which requires internet access and the creation of an account, and requires the submission of an incredible amount of personal information for all sorts of uses, including advertising. Several tools and pre-installed offers conflict with each other (e.g. Windows Phone Link + Intel Unison + Asus Glidex), or are unclear as to whether they are trial offers that will become chargeable in the short or long term (Office 365, PC Game Pass, etc.).
