Hyte Y70: 2-chamber panoramic case

Hyte's Y70 mid-tower case boasts a panoramic view of all your components thanks to its tempered glass walls. On the component side, it allows you to install a 4-slot graphics card in a vertical position with the PCIe 4.0 x16 riser supplied, while retaining the horizontal PCI slots in low-profile format. When it comes to cooling, in addition to a dual-chamber design, there are a number of options available, with the possibility of installing up to 10 x 120 mm fans, not forgetting watercooling with the capacity to accommodate up to 2 x 360 mm radiators.

Optimised cooling

  • Spacious interior that can accommodate a 360 mm radiator up to 125 mm thick on the side and an adjustable top support that can accommodate another 360 mm radiator up to 68 mm thick.
  • Cooling based on a cold floor with a total capacity of 10 fans.
  • The dual-chamber interior layout retains the great looks of the front while giving you plenty of room to manage cables at the rear, especially thanks to the L-shaped moulded rubber cable duct.

    Excellent case with a few compromises

    Very good aquarium case. I have the version without the touchscreen panel, which I think is a bit of a gimmick. The air intakes are equipped with dust filters (except for the rear). The Y70 can even accommodate the most imposing GPUs on 4 slots.

    However, it is not without its flaws from a practical point of view:
    - Storage is limited to two flimsy metal racks, without anti-vibration kits, each of which can hold one 3.5" HD or two 2.5" HDDs side by side, located behind the motherboard, even though there is plenty of space in the case. This may be a deal-breaker for some, and the competition does better.
    - No full-size PCI slots at the rear of the case! These are low-profile slots, the four standard ones are positioned vertically and are only for your graphics card (adapter supplied but limited to PCIE 4.0, with no impact on performance).
    - No fans provided.

    I invite you to first see the case in person: it is often used as a display model by PC builders.

    Crazy box

    Now we're hitting the nail on the head with this Aquarium-type case. It's a beauty to die for. Complemented by the touchscreen integrated into the front panel... It's airy, visual and beautiful, and everything has been done to ensure that nothing sticks out. The graphics card has plenty of room (4070ti from Asus ROG). The fan can be fitted in any direction... You can take full advantage of RGB and it's so easy to assemble ......
