It offers an outstanding quality/price ratio for a high-end configuration. It stands out for its robustness and reliability, perfectly suited to gamers as well as demanding users like me.
It is perfect for building a high-performance computer without blowing your budget. It offers everything you expect from a premium model, without unnecessary extras.
Very well thought-out card, as usual from MSI. Neat design, even if RGB fans will be disappointed as there's no lighting on the card.
One small negative point: the software is a little light and a little too casualised. And the idea of a screwless M.2 installation slot for NVME SSDs is a nice one (although removing one screw isn't a death sentence either). But according to the manual, this slot (the others have a screw) makes the main PCI e port 8x rather than 16x when in use.
Very complete and very well finished, it's excellent value for money and I can't recommend MSI highly enough - it's always top quality!
I had a little trouble installing Windows 11 because the network card drivers were not recognised. However, the problem was quickly solved thanks to a small line of code in the Windows command prompt. Since then, the motherboard has been running smoothly and I'm happy with it.
Frankly, the MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI motherboard was a great surprise! What I liked best was the ease of installation and the connectivity options. The built-in WiFi is super-fast and stable, which meant I could say goodbye to bulky cables. It really enhanced my experience, especially when I wanted to keep my setup clean and organised.
I chose this model because I was looking for a reliable motherboard that was compatible with the latest generations of Intel processors, and that offered a good balance between performance and functionality. And honestly, it far exceeds my expectations. The numerous port options, the M.2 slots for SSDs, and the easy BIOS settings really made my life easier.
The strong points? Clearly, the build quality, the ultra-complete connectivity (WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2), and the impeccable thermal management. What's more, the RGB lighting is a nice little bonus that adds style to my tower. The only minor weak points are perhaps the price, which remains a little high, and the documentation, which could be a little more detailed. But all in all, I'm really pleased with my choice!
A sober and efficient motherboard that performs so well.
At first I was going to use an Asus, but now I've decided to go with an rtx 4070 12GB founder edition for my top-of-the-range configuration.

I built my first PC and I wanted to go for top-of-the-range components without breaking the bank and after a few weeks of use, I think this motherboard is a very good choice. I installed an i7 14700kf but I also took advantage of the M2 slot in Gen 5 to put in a Corsair MP700 Pro SSD (I work with large files). On the network front, I can't yet take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 (Windows 11 only!) but it works perfectly with previous standards.
In short, it's a good insurance policy for the years to come if you want to invest a minimum.
Perfect motherboard to start with the 14th generation Intel processor, lots of space saved thanks to the numerous M2 ports and the latest-generation wifi functionality means we have a little future proof,
