Even with a 4870 ti it heats up, the connector is too long and on this one the fixing is at the top and the cable is fixed at the bottom and tends to push the connector towards the outside of the case as the pins of the 4000 series are a little short it is possible that they do not make good contact it would have been necessary to put a clip at the bottom too.
