This little piece of cable costing 3Francs 6 cents saves my old power supply. I can use it on my new motherboard and everything works at full power. Today's power supplies consume less power than in the past....top
Handy adaptor for powering a new processor with an older power supply that doesn't have the connections.

This little 4 to 8 pin adapter is very useful to power the processor of a modern motherboard (8 pin) from a rather old 4 pin output power supply (although the 4 pin connector fits on the CM and seems to be sufficient according to the documentation....subject to the printed circuit board which ensures equipotentiality holds the current). In short, a small accessory that ensures the conformity of the processor's power supply. With kind regards.

I bought this adapter to avoid buying a new power supply. It does the job very well and allowed me to extend the power cable slightly to hide it.
