The controller really doesn't live up to its price, the plastic is hollow, the rear triggers are badly placed (you press them without meaning to), the 'menu' buttons are also badly placed (you look for them when you need them), the coating is unpleasant... In short, it can do much better.
Hello, I'm still used to XBOX controllers, but ASUS ROG controllers are at the top comfort and maintenance.
I'd given up looking for a good PC controller a long time ago.
This one, with its excellent build quality, works perfectly and fits perfectly in the hand. The buttons are well positioned. The two buttons on the underside of the controller have very little use. They can replace one of the other buttons, or adjust the sensitivity of the sticks. It's impossible to assign a keyboard key, for example. The vibrations (adjustable intensity) work in games.
The lights are perfectly synchronised with my other asus aura products (asus motherboard and asus graphics card).
I put one star down because of the Armoury Crate software that manages asus products. I have quite a few problems with this software, particularly with the management of user sessions under win 11.
The USB-c cable, which is directly connected to the controller, regularly disconnects when playing games, and it doesn't even fit properly! Move the controller a bit too much and it disconnects, which is really annoying, given the price of the controller, and this kind of problem shouldn't have happened.
I had exactly the same connector problem with an Asus rog strix Fusion.
I wouldn't buy any more Asus branded peripherals.
