Samsung 43QN90C: simply top of the range!
I bought this 43-inch QLED 4K TV to replace an obsolete but still-living 40-inch Samsung LED 2K.
Pros:
- This TV is very comprehensive. The features (non-exhaustive list) that explain its high price compared to other 43-inch QLEDs are :
3 sockets: DTT, satellite dish and cable, 2 UHF tuners, 4 HDMI 2.1 ports (4K 144Hz), multiview, PIP, RF and solar remote control, voice assistants, wireless Dolby Atmos®, free access to Samsung TV Plus channels, Apple Airplay, compatibility with a "SmartThings" home automation system and of course the 100Hz panel.
- The picture is beautiful and there are plenty of settings to choose from,
- Getting started is easy,
- the design with a central stand is very good,
- Connecting to a Windows 11 PC via HDMI poses no problems: 2K 120Hz and 4K 60Hz pass through without a hitch with an office PC equipped with an HDMI 2.0 output. This is to be expected, since the maximum HDMI 2.0 standard is 4K 60Hz.
Cons:
- the little solar-powered remote control takes a bit of getting used to. However, Samsung diehards can continue to use their old remote control for everyday use,
- There is a slight variation in screen brightness depending on the position of the viewer. The ideal position is facing the television. This is a little paradoxical, as this television is equipped with Ultra Viewing Angle technology. However, it's not really a nuisance.
Comments:
- video recordings made with this television are all encrypted and can only be played back by it,
- the French manual is 268 pages long...
Overall, I'd give this product a score of 4.5/5.
