Overview

Explore the world!

The Panasonic LUMIX TZ95D is a compact camera that fits neatly in your pocket, so it can follow you anywhere. With a powerful LEICA zoom lens ranging from a wide 24mm to a 720mm focal length and a high-performance 20.3MP MOS sensor, it's ideal for discovering the world in a new way.

Large sensor in a pocket-sized body

When you pick up the LUMIX TZ95D, you'll be right in the middle of the action. When you can't get close, the powerful 30x optical zoom of this resourceful camera helps you get the shot. Featuring a LEICA DC lens, its powerful zoom gives you incredible flexibility, as it can go from 24mm to 720mm. The TZ95D is the perfect compact camera for taking all kinds of pictures both close up and far away.

Just because the sun goes down doesn't mean your camera has to, and the TZ95D isn't the kind of camera that leaves you hanging. With it, it's easy to keep shooting at night thanks to the powerful 20.3 megapixel MOS sensor. The TZ95D gives you more detail, more colour and more clarity, even in low light.

Capture the "moment" in any light

Sometimes sunlight is particularly annoying. The LUMIX TZ95D features a 230,000-dot live viewfinder with 0.53x magnification (35mm equivalent) that automatically turns on when you raise the camera to your eyes, so you can see every detail and capture the shot you want.

The TZ95D is equipped with the ingenious 4K PHOTO function. This feature allows you to capture the perfect moment by selecting an image from a movie shot at 30 fps and recording it as a high resolution image. With this feature you will never miss the precious moments of the events you attend again!

For perfect selfies

Are you a fan of quality selfies? Well, with the TZ95D you can take perfect selfies. With the 180-degree tilting touchscreen, you can take the perfect selfie(s), and with the Panorama Selfie mode, you can invite your friends to join in the future photo and use the landscape around you as an impressive backdrop.

Panasonic's 4K technology gives you the ability to refocus an image even after it's been taken - simply select the focus area after shooting with the Post Focus function.

With the new Focus Stacking function, you can combine several images with different focus distances to achieve the perfect focus range. This option is particularly useful in macro photography where you have a shallow depth of field.

    Very good

You have to deactivate the viewfinder (button on the rear panel), otherwise the screen goes blank as soon as you move your finger near it.
You also need to turn the dial to iA so that everything is automatic.
You shouldn't press Fn2 either, because then it focuses after you've taken the photo. I wonder how that can work.
Why did I choose this camera? Because it's capable of focusing and taking the photo at 3 cm! (the zoom must be at zero).
I have an old model that lets you restrict images to 3 Mpix, which is quite enough. This one is 5.
Otherwise, like many cameras these days, it can do tons of things that serve no purpose, which is great.
You can't delete photos from the PC (weird?), you need a card reader.
That said, it's an excellent camera.

    A great "travel" camera

I already own two other Panasonic LUMIX cameras, a tiny FP1 and the LX100.
However, for travel I found the zoom capability of my existing camera lenses (4x for the FP1 and 3x for the LX100) somewhat limiting.

My new TZ95D with its 30x zoom lens solves this problem and retracts almost completely into the camera body, providing a camera that can more easily be slipped into a pocket.
The body of the TZ95D is almost the same size as the LX100, but the lens of the LX100 still protrudes about 3.5cm from its body when retracted.

Yes, sometimes the extra sensitivity of the LX100 with its fast lens and larger sensor can be missed from time to time, but the TZ95D is not far behind.

The only downside of the TZ95D (and the LX100) is that they don't come with a tight fitting lens cap to prevent dust from getting inside the lens barrel and onto the sensor...
I used to own a LUMIX LX3 which had such a lens cap but Panasonic seem to have forgotten this useful accessory in the newer models.
(I'm trying to make a lens cap for the TZ95D!)
