Cable management
First of all, the LDLC technical note is not complete. Extremely important, also check the space you have between the side of your power supply and the panel (or cable cover) of your case. Some large cases have off-centre power supplies. I recommend 4 to 5 cm to be comfortable and not to strain the cables. The power supply connectors are small: 12VHPWR type connectors used by most new Nvidia GPUs.
This type of connection doesn't cope well with tight bends because they can dislodge part of the connector (especially if it's not properly clipped in), potentially causing the connector to melt (this is the case with Nvidia GPUs, but not, to my knowledge, with Corsair SHIFTs).
If you're assembling your first PC, or if you don't feel comfortable with assembly, I wouldn't recommend this power supply. This one is for regulars and/or enthusiasts.
The Corsair SHIFT makes cable management and PC maintenance much easier, with access to the connectors on the side making handling much simpler, such as adding/removing connectors for an HDD, for example.
As mentioned in several reviews, the 12VHPWR cable supplied is a different colour, which is a bit of a problem... especially for a power supply at this price!
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this power supply.
