Well received (it took a while, but that's something to do with Apple, not LDLC). Replacement for a mid-2011 iMac (still boosted with 24GB RAM and an SSD, and still going strong). Very quiet, works perfectly, nothing to complain about. Big change in terms of performance, especially for video editing.
Ultimately, I might have considered sticking with a 'basic' M2 Pro model (perhaps a better choice), with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of unified memory, and adding an SSD. I would have had more connectivity (I added 1 hub), and unrelated performance. But anyway, I stuck with that choice.
Thanks to Time Machine, I recovered everything (and did the updates I couldn't do on an older version of Mac OS). I don't change my machine very often (it costs a bit anyway...), so I'm back to the choice I made for the price I paid, to switch to an M2 Pro instead. It's still a very good machine, and you have to remember the machine you replaced. This machine will remain in service as long as it's functional, as a good back-up machine. Before I got this M2, I was happy with it and it did what I asked of it (albeit slower).
In the non-M2 Pro version, the best choice seems to me to be the 16GB version with 512GB of unified memory + external SSD. Alternatively, you could go for an M2 Pro, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of unified memory + external ssd, for a very similar price (but with a few extra notes).
That's my humble opinion, but this M2 24GB with 1TB of unified memory is still an excellent and very beautiful machine (and so quiet...).
