Noctua's NH-D12L is a 120 mm CPU fan that is 13 mm lower than standard 120 mm models, combining cooling performance and silence with increased case compatibility. Thanks to its design combining a double tower, 5 heatpipes and the NF-A12x25r 120 mm fan, it achieves higher levels of performance than many high 120 mm models.
In single fan mode and thanks to an asymmetrical heatsink, the NH-D12L stays away from RAM slots, offering full compatibility with AMD AM4/AM5 and LGA1200/LGA1700 configurations. The NH-D12L is equipped with the renowned SecuFirm2 mounting system and Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste. It's the ideal choice if you're looking for a high level of cooling but your configuration can't accommodate the larger NH-U12A.
While Noctua's 120mm CPU fans are traditionally 158mm high, the NH-D12L is just 145mm. Not only does this design allow it to integrate configurations within 4U racks (e.g. servers) or tower-type cases that are too narrow to accommodate tall fans (158 mm), but it can also be compatible with certain SFF (Small Form Factor) and mini-ITX cases.
With its asymmetrical design, the NH-D12L does not encroach on the memory slot area on Intel LGAIntel LGA1700/LGA1200/LGA115x and AMD AM4/AM5 motherboards, guaranteeing easy access to modules and full compatibility with RGB models or models with high heatsinks.

This ventirad is of the dual-tower type (2 radiators), but one of the radiators is twisted (the 2 radiators are not aligned, there is a 3mm offset), I have drawn lines on the photo so that this is clearly visible.
My PC was fully assembled using the LDLC "PC assembly without system" option, so I don't know whether it was the LDLC staff who twisted the ventirad during assembly, or whether the twist was already present in the Noctua box.
The positive.
- Bought to cool an "INTEL CORE I7-12700K", this fridge does (as the title says) the job it is supposed to.
- It makes very little noise.
- The price I find correct.
The negative.
- Its weight. Indeed, the "beast" weighs 890g (but that is understandable).
In short.
A good quality-price-performance ratio.
I have been using it for 1 month now on a ryzen 7 5700X. I have a good aircooling box (3 front and one rear fan).
my processor reaches 27-28 degres at rest and 63 degres on games like bf1 , days gones , elden ring
very very very good ventirad
a bit noisy in full power mode but personally I find it doesn't bother, you have to know what you want, a silent fan that doesn't cool or something slightly acoustic but that cools more than correctly ;)
