The new ATEM Constellation 8K from Blackmagic Design is an Ultra HD live production switcher, which you can turn into an ultra powerful 8K switcher with its many features. You get 4 M/Es, 40 12G-SDI inputs, 24 12G-SDI outputs, 4 DVEs, 16 keyers, 4 media players, 4 multi-view outputs, 2 SuperSources and standards conversion on all SDI inputs. And when switched to 8K, all these features can be combined to turn it into a powerful 8K switcher. You also get the built-in command network and a 156-channel Fairlight professional audio mixer with EQ and dynamics. Plus, you can use the free ATEM Software Control software or choose from several ATEM Advanced Panels.

With multiple inputs, ATEM Constellation is ideal for concerts and music festivals, as you can position cameras anywhere on stage for exceptional coverage. With powerful internal graphics and four ATEM Advanced Chroma Boards, you have everything you need for demanding productions. The ATEM Constellation is so big you can use it as a huge HD and Ultra HD switcher, then instantly combine all its features to work in native 8K.

You have 40 independent 12G-SDI inputs, all with their own up and cross converters. This means that 1080p and Ultra HD sources can be converted to 8K for use in 8K programmes. When used in HD or Ultra HD, you can connect up to 40 different sources in all formats up to 2160p60. In 8K, up to 10 8K 12G-SDI Quad Link sources can be connected in all formats up to 4320p60. You can even loop audio channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 from SDI inputs 1 to 30 to the two MADI digital audio outputs, so you can transfer audio from all your sources to an external sound engineer for mixing.

State-of-the-art broadcast power supply

The ATEM Constellation 8K includes a compact 2-rack unit enclosure with an integrated control panel. This panel allows operation of the mixer, which is essential during set-up and emergency situations. It also incorporates a large LCD screen for viewing program output and for changing mixer settings via on-screen menus.
