Featuring the latest technological advances, the PRIME GX maintains the output voltage within a very tight range, achieving load regulation of less than 0.5% (MTLR). This impressive power performance and stability make this power supply an ideal choice for high performance systems.
The 135mm high performance fan in this power supply is designed to take advantage of the impact absorption effects of oil. It is extremely reliable and generates much less operating noise and heat than ball-bearing fans. Lubrication of the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration, thus reducing overall energy consumption. Due to the effortless and quieter rotations and the robust construction, this proven fan technology also increases the life of the fan.
This Seasonic PRIME power supply features the Premium Hybrid Fan Control system, which minimises the noise generated by the fan. Below 40% load, the unit is in 0dB (fanless) mode and then the fan turns on in proportion to the load of the configuration.
Seasonic engineers have implemented a new internal design, where instead of cables, the back panel and the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are connected by a copper plate. This solution not only reduces the risks during assembly, but also improves the quality and reliability of the power output.

I'm quite disappointed with this feed. It does the job, no worries there. But it is much noisier than advertised. It is clearly audible when the fan is running, but the worst is the noise it makes when the fan starts/stops.
I bought three Seasonic power supplies at the same time: this Prime GX-650, a Prime GX850 (returned to LDLC for suspicious noise) and a Prime fanless TX-700. Yes, quieter than the fanless. In fact, the fan is practically unheard, in addition to the fact that it is completely off below 260W, i.e. in a typical configuration when the graphics card is at rest. It is so unheard that it is the coil whine that is heard the most, especially under full load (about 450W in the case of my configuration). My conclusion is that the quality control is the same for all the power supplies in this Prime range (the operating noise depends, if I understand correctly, to a large extent on the quality of the winding of various components such as the transformer), and that there is no point in buying a particularly expensive product. This product has an excellent price/performance ratio.
I am a first time gamer and I chose this power supply because a colleague had recommended it to me and I am not disappointed. It is super quiet, high performance and does not heat up.
