TheICY DOCK ToughArmor MB604SPO-B, is a rugged removable rack for hot-swapping 4 SATA/SAS SSDs and HDDs up to 9.5 mm high, and 1 Slim 12.7 mm or Ultra-Slim 9.5 mm CD/DVD/Blu-ray ROM optical disc drive for external 5.25" bay. All metal inside and out, it is designed for embedded systems, servers, workstations and mobile computing systems. The well thought-out design ensures optimal drive temperatures thanks to the user-configurable 40mm cooling fan and numerous ventilation holes throughout the rack. Advanced removable trays with vibration protection protect drives in harsh environments, and built-in individual status LEDs let you check drive updates at a glance.
Maximises spaceThe ToughArmor MB604SPO-B 's high-density design packs four 2.5" SSD/HDD bays from 5mm to 9.5mm and a Slim/Ultra-Slim CD/DVD/Blu-ray ROM optical drive bay into a single 5.25" bay. The MB604SPO-B 's new optical disc tray is adaptably designed to support any Slim 12.7mm or Ultra-Slim 9.5mm CD/DVD/Blu-ray ROM optical disc drive. The MB604SPO-B platter is designed to support HDDs and SSDs up to 9.5 mm in height, making them compatible with both SAS and SATA drives. SAS drives are used in enterprise applications such as long-term archiving for their long life, higher reliability and faster spinning speeds of up to 15,000 rpm for fast data access. |

Thoughtful and robust constructionICY DOCK 's ToughArmor uses a robust all-metal construction throughout the rack and trays, and this trend continues with the MB604SPO-B. ToughArmor is specifically designed for industrial applications operating in harsh conditions, such as military and medical applications, avionics systems, factory and warehouse machinery, and any application requiring a flammability rating. For added protection, EZ-slide trays are constructed entirely of metal offering maximum protection to your valuable SSD inside and outside the unit. The anti-vibration technology built into the platter reduces the vibration of mechanical hard drives, reduces noise and protects the drives from vibration damage. In addition, the platter is also equipped with an EMI grounding mechanism to provide a stable environment for the hard drives or SSDs used to operate at their best. For drive security, the Eagle-Hook design keeps drives secure during use and makes ejection as easy as pushing a button. A user-controllable 40mm cooling fan works in conjunction with the platter and chassis air holes to remove as much heat as possible and keep the discs at optimum temperatures. The fan can be set high for heavy mechanical HDD applications, low for use with cooler SSDs, and can be turned off completely to be cooled by the computers built-in cooling system. |
