It has a quality feel and a top lining (in contact with the mouse and hand) that holds well and doesn't split! After 18 months, there will obviously be slight signs of wear as the hand leaves its mark, but maintenance is fairly easy (turn it upside down or vacuum it).
I chose this mouse pad especially for use with a laptop that doesn't need to be moved around a lot.
I wanted a soft, high-quality mat for comfortable use.
It's soft on the surface and won't slip on a surface like a dining room/kitchen table.
Very good carpet, very inexpensive, adheres perfectly to surfaces. It doesn't move. It is flexible and the mouse glides without any problem. Just the edges are not sewn. I really like it.
