This is a great opportunity to have a TV in a cosy corner or in a bedroom, as it's difficult to get an extra box from your internet provider free of charge, so this is a good compromise without having to pay too much.
I recommend it, we have 3 xiaomi mi boxes, one old one still in top condition and two new ones...

It's great for refreshing an old tv that has ram. The android is fluid. It's easy to install and use.
The product ordered is in accordance with the catalogue and was delivered in French Polynesia within a reasonable time. It is small, very quick to access and very intuitive.
LDLC service is always perfect but one of the 3 products has a "thermal" failure after 5 minutes of use (!): one of the two XIAOMI MI TV BOX purchased.
This is obviously not LDLC's fault but the (Chinese) manufacturer's: as an electronics engineer, I know that in a manufacturing process, some products will fail (failure statistics - what is called a bathtub curve at the MTBF level).
Let's hope that LDLC will replace the product quickly (product bought a few days ago).
Note:
- the NetGear Nighthawk X4 WIFI repeater (EX7300 V2) gives complete satisfaction
- The "XIAOMI MI TV BOX", apart from the above failure, would give total satisfaction (it is the 3rd MIO-BOX that I install - the first two work perfectly)
I've been using it for a while now and it is very easy to install despite the lack of information in the manual. The only problem is that I have to unplug it and plug it in again to get it to work. But apart from that I am satisfied.
Very good product
relatively easy to use, although not very intuitive to install at first.
The device is pleasant and discreet, but what is not specified is that its optical output is in 3.5 jack and the wifi connection tends to jump regularly, which is very unpleasant.
Very good product for watching videos but it shows its limits when KODI scans the hard drive for new stuff (the video jerks and you have to restart the device).
Impossible to play any mkv via kodi. Buffer of 10 seconds every 30 seconds even on a 720p. In the same condition my old WD TV Live is perfect. I will try the CGV Expand...
LDLC always at the top on the other hand, return of the product without worries
Totally uninteresting product and immeasurably slow.
And of course, no return possible after 14 days.
