I bought the Apple TV for my parents. After a few weeks of use, it turns out that it's not as ergonomic and intuitive as advertised. You have to use (too) many different applications to get access to all the TV channels, the remote control is very fragile and the "closed" side of apple doesn't help. I think they will switch back to an android tv soon.

I have just bought an iPad and have 1 year of free appletv. The remote control is easy to use and can be used to search for information, for example on YouTube.

As a replacement for an Apple TV HD following the switch to 4K.

A bit expensive as always with Apple, but quality product.
It is better to go for the 64GB version for the price difference.
