    Very satisfied after purchasing the lide 300

    I have been an Ldlc customer for a long time and I am still very satisfied with the on-time delivery and the packaging, which has even improved. As for the scanner, it works perfectly, and I hope it will be as reliable as the canonscan9500 I parted with.
    One note: since I am using Debian, I had to look for a Linux driver from Canon, but it exists and, once installed, the scanner works by launching Xsane. So no problems for now.

    Good scanner but domed lid

    Excellent scan quality, drivers easy to install ( retrieval from the Canon website ) but it is imperative to put weight on the lid ( which for some reason I can't explain is slightly domed ) during a scan in order not to have a blurry image, which is still rather doubtful.

    LDLC equipment and support are top-notch.

    On receipt of the scanner in question, there was a small problem inside the glass. LDLC did the tests, then had the scanner changed in a very short space of time (despite the bank holidays).
    The scanner came back: very good. Fully meets my expectations. The software that comes with it (or that you can download) has quite a few options. I use it for artistic purposes, to scan my paper illustrations to publish them on websites, and it's very good. It could still be refined a bit more (possibly with retouching software) but frankly, that's not necessarily useful.
