The delivery went smoothly and the product was well packaged.
The scanner works very well and is as described.
I have tested several scanners and none have been as good and versatile as the P-215II.
Fast, quiet and perfectly straightens documents that are scanned through.
The colours of the scanned documents are very clean and the weight of the documents is minimal.
I recommend it 100%.
I was very pleased with the product: fast, double-sided scanning by content detection. All good!
However, the software installation is a shame, totally unacceptable in 2018. Installed on 2 PCs (Windows 7 and 10), the scanner was not recognised on either. The CD supplied was difficult to read (only one PC was able to read it, not without difficulty). So I got the drivers from the website.
In short, after one hour of hard work without success, I tested the automatic mode without driver and there, impeccable!
I withdraw one star because of the driver that never worked on my computer.
Simple set-up, direct installation, fast and good scan quality.
Portable device (USB power supply)
However, it cannot scan rigid documents (ID cards, passports)
I can confirm all the qualities of this excellent little scanner, but I have to say that its fragility is something to be taken into consideration when dealing with a device that will be handled often. The small page guides that need to be unfolded when opening the scanner's lid and especially the mini USB plug which is fragile and very exposed because it is badly placed. Knowing that like all USB plugs, it is soldered directly to the motherboard, if it breaks, the scanner is definitely out of order. Why a mini plug when there is more than enough room to install a normal USB plug which would be more solid?
