The Ricoh SP-2230N is a compact ADF document scanner designed to optimize daily digitization tasks. It scans in color, grayscale or monochrome at a respective speed of 30 pages per minute, and up to 60 images per minute duplex. Its 80-sheet automatic feeder simultaneously handles a wide variety of documents, from receipts to plastic cards, including thick files and folded A3 documents with a carrier sheet. This versatility reduces pre-sorting tasks, while ultrasonic double-feed detection and paper monitoring help protect originals. With a footprint of only 292 x 163 x 150 mm, this scanner easily fits into offices, healthcare facilities, administrative reception areas and workspaces where every centimeter counts.
Advanced technologies for perfectly usable images
Built on more than 50 years of Ricoh expertise, the SP-2230N combines Clear Image Capture technology, the PaperStream IP driver and the proprietary iiGA System on Chip processor to produce sharp images and improve optical character recognition accuracy. In standalone mode, the DirectScan function allows multiple users to send their documents to three pre-programmed destinations directly from the scanner buttons, without using a PC. The OCR processing built into the iiGA processor notably enables the immediate creation of searchable PDFs. For workflows connected to a computer, PaperStream ClickScan simplifies sending to the cloud and one-off conversion of documents to Word, Excel or PowerPoint formats. Finally, PaperStream Capture automates recurring tasks, while the USB interfaces and Gigabit Ethernet make it easy to integrate the scanner into an existing infrastructure.
