INSUPPORTABLE printer
This printer regularly ORDERS you to change your toner (cartridge). It contains a counter which, once it reaches 0, locks the printer: you can no longer print unless you change the cartridge. You can't put the old cartridge back in: the printer remembers the number of the current cartridge and that of the previous one. The only big problem is that when the counter reaches 0, the supposedly empty cartridge is still more than half full! This is clearly an incentive to waste (not to mention ecological), and programmed obsolescence! It's disgraceful! So the solution is to unwrap a second cartridge, put it in, then put the old one back in to finish it off. But inevitably there comes a time when the 2 cartridges at the same time are rejected, the new one being completely full and the old one still half full, so you have to take out a third one. It's FATIGUANT. Of course, it's impossible to reset the counter. In short, BOYCOTTE the BROTHER brand. Generally speaking, I urge you NOT to use printers that don't let you change the cartridge when you want, that LOCK the printer without giving you a choice. And I strongly urge LDLC to warn its buyers about this type of scam.
