Good for extensive domestic use or small business
We'll start with the negative, because there is one:
- it's huge and heavy - like all colour lasers that are at least a little bit robust.
- the photo quality is not great - like the vast majority of colour lasers, which do not like photo paper at all.
But otherwise,
- it's one of the few models with cheap and easy to find compatible toners
- no printing bugs to report, whether from a Windows laptop or a Linux PC (and I have 5 or 6 of them at home)
- very good throughput and print quality for all types of documents (home schooling for kids, official documents, etc.)
- the toners supplied with it are not demo products, but real full toners, which "reduces" the price of this printer by 150 to 400€ compared to its direct competition (I'm mostly looking at HP, here)
Is it worth a professional copier/scanner unit with toner bottles? No. Is it suitable for a small business or household with high paper consumption? Yes.
