It does the job it is asked to do and it does it well. I bought this model because it was well rated on a reference site that compares computer equipment. It is very easy to use and has a very high resolution. It is very easy to use with wifi. I'm very happy with it for the moment, but I'll have to wait and see.
I am switching from an inkjet printer to a laser printer. I'd say that the change is radical. I am delighted with this printer: very easy to install (on the WIFI network in particular, no problem, I was a little afraid), very fast printing, double-sided, scanning is very easy, in short, only good things.
So why this star? The Brother software forces you to use Outlook for the scantomail and I find that a real shame. I use Thunderbird and so I am penalised.
Now, I hope it lasts as long as possible.
Duplex printing, photocopying, scanning to PC or email, AirPrint, everything works perfectly. Processing can be done via the printer or a PC. Connected via Wifi, it can be placed just about anywhere.
This is my second of this brand, the first one must have been 20 years old...
Easy installation, by connecting to the box (cable) you can print via the local network without any problem. The scanner is good, but I miss the manual Fotolook interface of my old scanner.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's not really useful for private use.
I do mostly CAD printing, I appreciate the fine resolution on the quality of the lines.
Very satisfied, the laser makes all the difference compared to ink for frequent black and white document printing.
