Used to the "classic" HTC Vive headset, this one is really more comfortable. The installation is easy, but be careful not to force it too much to avoid breaking the hooks. The sound is good, I had no expectations on that and it is possible to remove the headset.
Extremely durable, I've had this headband for 3 years and wow... I've broken 4 3-in-1 cables, 2 joysticks, scratched the lenses and nearly injured my friends (at least what's left of them) but he's the quiet headband.
I am delighted with the product, having used the HTC Vive for a long time, the attachment of the headset always left something to be desired, always afraid that it would fall off if you have a big head, see mm on children. Despite the relatively high price for what it is, (the only thing that will lose a star), I still recommend the product. The clamp allows you to hold them just the way you want them, and the headphones help with immersion, without cutting you off from the outside world if you need to
With this accessory the HTC VIVE headset becomes almost perfect.
The attachment on the head is much faster than before and above all it holds much better.
All that's missing is the TPCAST to achieve perfection with wireless ;)
Everything has been said in the other comments, once you try it you can't do without it!
Very easy to adjust, good quality small HP and easy to put on/off.
I found it even more useful as there are two of us at home who use it, and with the original strap it takes a long time to find the same setting...you open it to remove, the next person puts the helmet on their head, tightens the knob to their liking and off you go.
The only flaw is that it is not included with the Vive.
I've been using the htc vive for a while now, but I'm not sure what to expect from it.
I've been using the original headset for a while now and it's a real pain in the ass.
The price may be a bit steep but it's really a must have!
The original strap was horrible and crushed your ears!
It really does add to the sound and comfort of use, especially if several members of your family are using the HTC, the setting is much more intuitive and I have also noticed a significant comfort level gain.

This changes everything, goodbye to the basic mouldy strap that moves and degrades, goodbye to the headphones that get unplugged.
An excellent product. The headset has a more balanced fit and the weight is much better distributed on the head.
The sound is good and this set gives a feeling of uniqueness and isolation that is excellent for enhancing VR.
However, BE CAREFUL when removing the original strap and reassembling it. All this is made of plastic and a nipple is quickly broken and goodbye to the RV for the blow.
There is an official tutorial on Youtube, I followed it and was able to install it without any problem. Don't pull the strap sideways. Go smoothly and make a half turn clockwise.
If you own the HTC Vive, this headstrap is a must.
Adjustable to fit all heads, it makes my headset happy.
What's more, the sound quality is more than adequate, again, adjustable in all directions.
A must have.
