Almost perfect for my travels
This FZ1000 replaces my old FZ38 bought 10 years ago. The difference in level is incomparable as well in the quality of the images as in the speed. PANASONIC regulars won't be surprised by the menus, which allow you to quickly pick up your favourite settings. To be sure to have beautiful images it is however necessary to limit the rise of ISO to 1600 or 3200 (if one is less watchful). As I shoot exclusively through the viewfinder and have only used the screen to set up the camera, I don't really need a touch screen. The only downside (which is why it's almost perfect) is its weight: I've gone from 300g to 850g. Tested for the moment for street, animal or indoor photos, the quality is always there. It will accompany me on my next trips as my old FZ38 accompanied me on 17 destinations across 4 continents.
