92mm silent case fan

Overview
Exceptionally quiet!
The NF-A9 is a quiet Noctua fan with a 92mm square frame that meets Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard. Its square shape and 92mm mounting holes make it the ideal companion for watercooling heat sinks or cases designed for 92mm ventilation. Featuring the latest advances in aerodynamic technology, including Flow Acceleration Channels
, the NF-A9 takes the cooling performance for which the NF-R8 is famous to the next level.
The PWM versionfeatures the proprietary NE-FD1 IC, which allows fully automatic speed control via the 4-pin fan connectors. It includes a Low Noise Adaptor (LNA) that caps the maximum speed (2000 to 1550 rpm) during PWM driving. Its amazing discretion, the presence of SSO2 reference bearings and the quality level guaranteed by Noctua make the NF-A9 the ideal fan for the most demanding users.

Successor to the famous NF-B9
Noctua's NF-B9 fan has become the benchmark in the PC world. Thanks to numerous successive aerodynamic optimisations, the NF-A9s now offer increased static pressure and an even better airflow to noise ratio than their predecessor.
Extended wiring options
The first fan cable is 20cm short, minimising the space required for routine use. The supplied 30cm extension cable will solve any distance problems.
Flow Acceleration Channels
The NF-A9 impeller is equipped with flow channels on the suction side of the fan. The flow acceleration generated at the tips of the blades creates a more massive, less dispersed suction, thus increasing efficiency.
AAO frame
Noctua's AAO(Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames are equipped with anti-vibration mounts and benefit from exclusive optimisations to push the limits of performance and silence.
Stepped Inlet Design
Noctua's Stepped Inlet design adds turbulence to the inlet flow, allowing a gradual transition from laminar to turbulent flow. This reduces noise emissions, generates a more massive flow and increases suction power.
Inner Surface Microstructures
As the blade tips move in a boundary layer influenced by the presence of an Inner Surface Microstructure, the flow separation that takes place at the suction level becomes almost non-existent.
Integrated anti-vibration dampers
The integrated anti-vibration mounts, made of extra soft silicone, limit the transmission of vibrations while ensuring perfect compatibility with standard fastening systems.
SSO2 Bearing
This is the latest generation of the SSO2 bearing, which is even more optimised. The SSO2 is equipped with a rear magnet closer to the axle for greater precision, durability and stability.
6-year manufacturer's warranty
Noctua fans are renowned for their quality and durability. As with all Noctua models, the NF-A9 has an MTBF of over 150,000 hours of testing and is backed by a full 6 year manufacturer's warranty.
Low Noise Adapter
The NF-A9s are supplied with a Low Noise Adaptator (L.N.A.) which drops the maximum speed from 2000 to 1550rpm. The L.N.A. is suitable for both fixed speed operation (1550rpm) and PWM clamped operation.
Exclusive PWM IC system with SCD
The NF-A9s feature the latest NE-FD1 PWM IC which incorporates Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology. By generating less abrupt torque pulses, SCD eliminates the noise associated with PWM switching for quieter fan operation at lower speeds.

    Super quiet.

I use it to cool my old box which is in a TV cabinet, very efficient and LDLC is a very complete site.

    It's my spare tire!

    Hello,

Bought this as a spare in case one of my other models fails. This is a fan that I highly recommend whether it's for suction, blower or the CPU. You will be surprised by its silence/airflow. It is of course PWM. The box contains everything for more silence: rubber fastener, speed reducer and classic screws.

It is worth its price and quality!

    I keep it warm :)

    Excellent replacement fan.

I bought this fan to replace the one on my Noctua NH-L9i Chromax Black (I wanted one that would deliver more). I found myself with a black radiator and an orange fan but in terms of cooling, it's royal: 5°C to 8°C less (under average load).PS: to be able to mount this fan, it is imperative to use the large screws provided with the Noctua NH-L9i Chromax Black (or Noctua NH-L9i) for the Noctua NH-L9x65: no need for screws, just put the hook in the higher groove)Very satisfied with my product (and especially the cooling)

These fans are great for replacing the original ones.
    My tower is better cooled.
They are small, strong and quiet.

    Quiet & efficient.

Much better than any other fan I have tried so far ('Arctic F9 PWM rev.2' - 'Arctic F9 PWM PST CO' ... etc...).

    - Installed on a 'Cooler Master Hyper TX3i' fan (on an 'i7 4790k' CPU), the cooling is really very good and very quiet.
The quality seems to be there (this remains to be seen in time as for any component).
It comes with useful accessories, depending on the configuration.

    - In short...
For a good airflow while being quiet, and for a fairly honest price, this fan is a very good product; I highly recommend it.
