New generation silent fan
The Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM Chromax Black is a 140 mm fan in black, designed to offer quiet and efficient cooling as the successor to the popular NF-A14. It incorporates innovations from the NF-A12x25, using an optimised Progressive-Bend impeller with winglets to improve airflow. The frame features Advanced Acoustic Optimisation (AAO) to reduce vibration and noise.

Reference fan
- Exceptional acoustic performance: The NF-A14x25 G2 has undergone meticulous adjustments to optimise its acoustic performance. Its frequency curve is pleasing to the ear and it generates low sound pressure (SPL) in relation to its resistance.
- The NF-A14x25 G2 features a Progressive-Bend turbine design with Flow Acceleration Channels and winglets. Its 9 blades, which are slightly angled backwards at the hub, curve progressively outwards towards the blade tips. Combined with the Centrifugal Turbulator hub, this design allows more air to be transported to the blade tips (the area of maximum efficiency) and also ensures a more even load distribution across the entire blade profile.
- As a turbulence generator, the Centrifugal Turbulator hub and its specific design improve flow cohesion in the hub area. In addition, its movement exerts a centrifugal force that pushes air away from the hub, and therefore from the less efficient area given the low rotational speeds. The air is thus directed to the most efficient area at the blade tip to increase overall performance.
- The NF-A14x25 G2 turbine is equipped with flow channellers on the suction side of the fan. The acceleration of the airflow generated at the blade tips creates a more powerful, less dispersed suction, thereby increasing efficiency while reducing noise disturbance.
Ultra-quiet
- Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames are equipped with anti-vibration mounts and benefit from exclusive optimisations that push the limits of performance and silence.
- To prevent excessive load issues, the NF-A14x25 G2 comes with a special anti-vibration seal (pre-installed) and, for installation on the air outlet side, anti-vibration pads with load-reducing structures.
- The integrated anti-vibration mounts, made from extra-soft silicone, reduce the transmission of micro-vibrations while ensuring perfect compatibility with mounting systems and clips for CPU cooler fans.
- Protected against polarity reversal, overvoltage and overcurrent (short circuits), the fan is suitable for use in harsh electrical environments. In addition, its ultra-low electromagnetic emissions make this fan an ideal solution for interference-sensitive applications.
- The NF-A14x25 comes with an NA-AVG2 silicone seal that can be used when installing the fan on a water cooling radiator or any other application requiring minimal leakage. The seal reduces micro-vibrations and air leakage between the fan and the radiator for optimal cooling performance.
