At last I've got a mouse in my size - what a joy!
We'll have to see how it holds up over time, but for now there's nothing to complain about.
We'll make it short, at the time I'm posting this review, we're in 2023, I'm still using it, it works at 2000% and I bought it in 2016 ^^ That's all there is to it, it's flashing with happiness, it knows I'm talking about it
I had one for my desktop PC and got another for my laptop.
I basically use 5 buttons out of the 8 but it's a lack of habit.
Works on Linux without any configuration
No more Logitech.
I used to like this brand, but now it's definitely over. Imagine that your mouse needs special software to work, as if your O.S. was totally incapable of handling this revolutionary device. Imagine that this software is called Logitech G Hub, and that it has been developed by incompetent people with their feet up against all common sense. No alternative, of course, that would be too easy. An appalling piece of software, of which it is impossible for me to list all the faults. All my developer friends are unanimous; making such a thing these days should be a capital offence.
For example, you should know that you have to launch the software every time you start your PC, if you want your settings to exist. Otherwise, goodbye to your configuration, you will only be entitled to the factory settings. Great.
By doing this, you have a two out of three chance of getting an update from the dear Logitech G Hub. Amazing.
And if you start up a game and want to activate a personal configuration for that game, be patient. It takes a lot of ingenuity for me to make it work, depending on the game, the software saves, the updates, the tide times and the age of the captain. Knowing that creating a config is already a manual decryption of an Enigma machine. Wonderful.
When I started writing this comment, Logitech G Hub was starting its little systematic update, not annoying at all. It's still not finished. And I don't write fast.
Otherwise the mouse itself is not crazy.
The mouse is described as having 6 programmable buttons...in reality only 2 are programmable, the others have their functions locked (sensitivity).
The LDLC delivery service is however perfect, only the manufacturer's description really leaves something to be desired.
