The TP-Link MC111CS media converter is designed to convert 100BASE-FX fibre to 100Base-TX copper media and vice versa. Using WDM technology, the MC111CS uses a single fibre optic cable to transmit and receive data.

The various features of this module allow you to use it also as a stand-alone device (chassis is not required) or with TP-LINK's 19" system chassis, auto MDI/MDI-X.
Features :
- 10/100/1000 Mbps autonegotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX for the TX port
- Allows the switch to be configured in alternate and simultaneous bidirectional FX port link modes
- Link Fault Pass Through (LFP) andFar End Fault (FEF) features reduce link interruption losses when necessary
- Adoption of WDM technology allowing data transmission and reception over a single fibre
- Extended fibre distance from 20 to 60 km.
- Self-explanatory LED indicators make it easy to monitor network activity.
