TL-FC311A-2 : Gigabit WDM Media Converter
The TP-Link TL-FC311A-2 is a Gigabit media converter, providing a Gigabit Ethernet port and a Gigabit SC fibre port, which can convert between electrical and optical signals. Long-distance data transmission over optical fibre can be applied to commercial scenarios such as fleet security monitoring and Wi-Fi networking.

The TL-FC311A-2 adopts WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology, enabling data to be sent and received at distances of up to 2km using a single single-mode fibre, saving customers half the cost of cable deployment.
The TL-FC311A-2 transmits data at a wavelength of 1550 nm and receives data at a wavelength of 1310 nm over an optical fibre.Consequently, the terminal used in conjunction with the TL-FC311A-2 must send data at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receive data at a wavelength of 1550 nm.TP-Link another media converter TL-FC311B-2 is one of the products that can cooperate with TL-FC311A-2.
