Rich in features optimised for APC InfraStruXure architectures, cable management, power distribution and optimal air circulation, APC NetShelter SX specialised cabinets ensure simple and reliable operation of your IT equipment for server and network applications in an IT environment.
They are ideal for 483mm (19") component installation, and optimised for use with high capacity cable management systems that attach to equipment mounting rails inside the enclosures and provide passageways for cable routing and layout.
The proven frame design, thick mounting rails and heavy duty castors are designed to withstand a static load of 1364kg. In combination with the appropriate hardware, the cabinets have been tested and approved to various seismic standards.

ConvenienceCable access openings with pre-installed brushes
Large cable access slots in the cover allow cables to be routed out from above. The technical floor at the bottom of the enclosure provides unobstructed access to cables. The enclosure cover has pre-installed brush openings facing the front of the enclosure to allow for the passage of data cables and the installation of air containment solutions. Simple selection No need to spend hours selecting and assembling dozens of different parts to assemble a single enclosure. APC has made installation easy by taking care of the details and providing complete enclosures with unique part numbers. Perforated front door with curved profile Perforated front and rear doors provide good ventilation for servers and network equipment. The perforated area on the front door has an optimal curved profile that extends the available surface and increases the perforation area and percentage. Quick-release doors The front door can be moved to the opposite side or interchanged with the rear doors. It is very easy to remove the doors by lifting them up. Half-height side panels and option with brush opening for cable entry Quick-release half-height side panels reduce size and weight for easier equipment handling and access. The side panels can be locked with a single key that also opens the doors. Side panels incorporating cable entry holes and brush openings for routing cables to adjacent racks in the same row while maintaining adequate airflow are now available. Easily removable cable access cover To ensure easy access during equipment installation or once cabling is in place and routed through the cable access openings, the cover can be removed using simple hinges. Once removed, the cover is reversible, allowing the wider cable openings to be repositioned to suit the power distribution sockets and connectors. Integrated lifting bracket in cabinet frame Eyebolt holes integrated into the top of the enclosure frame allow the enclosure to be lifted using suitable lifting mechanisms when it needs to be moved and repositioned. Equipment mounting rails integrated into the connecting cabling systems. Equipment mounting rails include zero U holes for use outside the EIA 19" mounting space. This allows APC data distribution cable connection systems to be installed outside the valuable U-space for equipment. The design of the AV and network enclosures does not provide any openings for the integration of data distribution cables. Other 1U, 2U and zero U options at the rear of the cabinet are available for these cabinet models. Enclosure adjustment tools and screws supplied All enclosures are supplied as standard with a hardware bag containing mounting hardware for IT equipment and tools for making relatively simple adjustments. |
FlexibilityPre-installed channels for full cabinet height rear accessories
The integrated and adjustable rear accessory channel provides zero U mounting locations for tool-free accessory mounting. Each pass-through has two mounting bays that support a combination of up to four accessories such as power distribution units (PDUs) and vertical cable organisers. The 1070mm and 825mm deep network and enclosure enclosures are equipped with two bays. The troughs are pre-installed at the rear of the enclosure at the factory but can be moved elsewhere in the enclosure along the side bracing to bring cables closer to the equipment that needs them most. Adjustable mounting rails with captive fasteners and quick alignment Vertical mounting rails can be adjusted in 1/4" (6.4 mm) increments, meeting virtually any IT equipment mounting requirement. Simplified alignment feature built into the cabinet mounting rail and side brace for quick alignment verification without tools. U-positions are numbered at the front and rear for quick installation of equipment. Separate rear doors Separate rear doors optimise floor space. Only 11 inches (279 mm) of space is required behind the cabinets to open the door. Discreet castors and adjustable feet, positionable on top or bottom Cabinets come standard with adjustable feet and casters. The adjustable feet can be quickly adjusted with a screwdriver or drill, so you don't have to access the underside of the cabinet with a key. Integrated mounting hardware with alignment facility for cabinets of different widths The cabinets include pre-installed assembly hardware to connect cabinets in the same row and enhance their stability. This pre-installed hardware includes holes to connect two adjacent cabinets on 600mm or 24" centres depending on the floor layout. |
