The HP LTO-5 Ultrium is a faster, higher-capacity and more secure storage cartridge than ever before.
The Ultrium format builds on the best existing technologies; open standards increase innovation and expand customer choice in performance, capacity and format. With support for the full HP media qualification process, HP Ultrium data cartridges support all HP StorageWorks and non-HP Ultrium tape devices.
LTO-5 Ultrium: 3 TB in a single cartridge!
3 TB is equivalent to 150,000 trees turned into printed paper. New media and drive technologies have created a solution that doubles the capacity and increases the speed of LTO-5 media with built-in encryption by 25%.
LTO-5 Ultrium: compact and fast
With a transfer rate of around 360 MB/s (at a compression ratio of 2:1), magnetic tape cartridges have never been so fast.
