20to working perfectly for my multimedia server :)
Fast delivery and well packaged product. Perfectly meets my expectations, easy to use and detected immediately.
The power sata plug broke.
It's my fault, I pressed a bit at an angle, but it broke like a waffle.
I had to make a makeshift repair to get the drive to work.
I'm not one for tests of any kind. The two disks I bought were mounted in an Asustor AS6706T NAS, which has since been forgotten.
Mounted in RAID 1, I have no worries whatsoever. I've been loyal to this brand for years, my old disks having been in operation for almost ten years without failure, so I went back to this brand and I can only congratulate myself so far.
Very good writing speed, even on an external USB enclosure, compared to the generation of 8-10 year old Seagate drives. I haven't tested it on an internal sata bus, just to back up my PC, but I'll have to keep an eye on it in the long term,
I mistook it for a NAS backup. It took me less time than expected to copy everything. There were no faults and the drive didn't overheat during the operation. And it was relatively quiet compared with other drives (notably Seagate) used for the same purpose.
can be a bit noisy, but reliable, hardly heats up at all.
For mass storage in a nas.
Toshiba drives aren't my usual favourites, but I'm really impressed with the N300. Not only is it the quietest drive I've ever had, it also heats up the least. In addition to the very attractive price, this generation is still quite fast; without having done a benchmark, it reaches 270 Mb/s without any problem on large files, with peaks close to the manufacturer's 281 Mb/s, so it's very decent. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the incompatibility with my NAS, which prevents it from shutting down after a period of inactivity, even though it seems to go into standby mode. 20TB 7200rpm 512MB cache at this price? on the other hand, the MTBF of 1.2 million hours remains to be seen, but for me it's not a problem in my case.
Used in a fantec 4 bay usb nas: not very noisy, reliable, doesn't heat up much.
I recommend it, as it heats up much less than the Seagate and Werstern quality drives have become unaffordable.
LDLC paris centre staff very helpful :-)
I've installed the hard drive in my tower to store my images. I find it silent when I ask it to work.
Toshiba hard disks are always well made in terms of reliability and performance, their only downside being the sound volume, which is a little higher than that of their competitors. But for a NAS that doesn't sit close to your computer, this is negligible.
The hard drive works perfectly. It's built into a RAID 1 enclosure and is very quiet, even if it is a little noisy during loads, which is still largely acceptable. Start-up is fairly quick, and so far I haven't encountered any problems.
I was worried that my little nas wouldn't be able to cope with the size of the disk, but phew!
It doesn't make too much noise, it's easy to install, in short, it's all good.
We'll have to see how it goes with time now ^^
Neat packaging, fast delivery ...... !!!!
Product as described and compatible with my Synology DS218Play. Real performance boost from 5400 RPM to 7200 RPM.
Discs are noisy when accessed.
Distributed later than expected (not Friday but Tuesday)
Order tracking and shipping are always good at LDLC.
And I'm completely satisfied with this drive after a few months of intensive writing and loading.
Relatively silent, inexpensive and 14TB.
Installed without a hitch in a Synology DS224+.
I'm thinking of buying more soon for a DS218+ I already have.
Very good for a Nas
Makes more noise than a western red but is much faster to respond, however to see the durability of the disk is my first toshiba
Bought 4 copies for a raid 5 on a Synology.
No problem migrating old disks (WD Red 2012 3TB).
The system is really responsive (it's a big machine though). During backups on a 10 Gb network, backups run at 8 Gb, so 800 MB/s. We'll have to see over time.
The WDs have lasted 12 years overall (with a few clashes).
The Toshiba disks used on a server in the past gave total satisfaction (performance, reliability), so I hope that this will be the case with these NAS disks at 7200 rpm (average temperature 28°C).
Satisfied!
The disks live up to their specifications. However, when working, they scratch quite loudly compared to the older WD red plus drives installed in the NAS. The operating noise is also greater when you're in silence, but that's well known for this model.
In short, what we're really looking for is reliability, and I don't know about that at the moment.
Product conforms to order and is well packaged by the manufacturer. The product is slightly noisy when reading/writing but the noise is acceptable. The LDLC packaging in the cardboard box was a bit flimsy on this occasion, as the product was exposed to knocks and shocks because it was simply placed in a cardboard box, hence the missing star.
Installed in my NAS DS223j to increase my storage, recognised perfectly by the system.
I bought the 16TB after trying the 4TB from the same series. I recommend it.
Very happy with my large capacity hard drive at a very fair price. I searched for several minutes to easily compare capacity with price and quality.
Received quickly.
Suitable for my use in a NAS as a backup drive.
I bought it a month ago and use it every day without any problems.
Order processed and sent in record time, packaging 100ù cardboard, very solid, the hard drive works perfectly, everything is perfect.
bravo LDLC and bravo Toshiba
5 stars for the service. As for the product itself, it's too early to say whether it will live up to all its promises over time.
This completes the Synology 1821 on which I only had two drives.
It's not out of the question that later this year I'll be buying two more of the same model.
Delighted!
very fast for transferring large volumes such as 4k videos;
ideal for direct encoding in H264 and H265 as well as interpolations and upscaling.
However, like all physical disks, once you reach half its capacity, performance starts to slow down but remains more than respectable.
In short, an excellent product, I recommend it!
Received yesterday, connected to a USB dock to act as a backup drive for my NAS, I'm amazed by its speed compared to the accesses to the NAS itself (Seagate and WD drives at 7200rpm too). And frankly, the silence. Apart from a few muffled "clicks", it doesn't flinch, unlike the NAS, which resonates right next to it. Maybe it's a fluke, but I'll give it another go when I renew my next backup drive.

With hard disks it's always a game of chance, you never know when they will fail.
After a month of use, no problems at all.
A fast and easy to install hard drive with a large capacity, ideal for video storage.
Installed in a Synology 4 bay NAS. Very well packaged by Toshiba.
Originally I deliberately bought different makes & models to avoid simultaneous failures. This one is to replace a Seagate Barracuda 6 TB (ST6000DM003) which failed after only 2 1/2 years (too many I/O errors in the SMART). It seems to me that this Toshiba is much quieter. So finally, I made an exception to my brand mix: this is my 2nd one (the other one was bought a little more than 6 months ago). So very satisfied. I recommend it. It's a shame the price doesn't go down.
Replacing a WD Red of the same size which had suffered several power cuts (an inverter was added to prevent this from happening again), it was clear when copying from my 2nd WD Red and the temperatures were even 2 to 3 degrees lower than the WD.
I highly recommend this product after already a few months of use.
I've been using it for a few months now, and I'm very pleased with the speed of delivery.
