I had to send it to the garage 2x, and now I can't because it's no longer under warranty, the battery swells and makes the "I O K L" keys unusable, you have to remove the battery for it to work, and therefore lose the use of the wireless, I would have had 3 keyboards, all 3 had the problem.
Very good quality product in general, but not at all reliable:
Completely randomly, the keyssssssssssssss decide to stop working and then go on a loop indefinitely. It's already taken me a long time to type what I've just written!! and I didn't voluntarily correct the m****** that the keyboard slipped in (when it wasn't deleting the whole sentence at the slightest "backspace").
In short, just unbearable. The first one I got did it, I sent it back to LDLC who sent me a 2nd one back without a fuss, but unfortunately it seems to be a problem with the product itself...
So: AVOID.
I've been using this keyboard for 1 year now and I've never really enjoyed it.
It makes you wonder about the veracity of other reviews.
Armoury Crate (AC) 'works', and I'm pleased to say that it recognises my QWERTY keyboard rather than my AZERTY keyboard, which you'll understand is stupid as the computer uses the keyboard as an AZERTY keyboard, which causes some pretty funny keyboard bugs, such as pressing 'e' and the keyboard writing things like '***************zeeeeeeee*********************eeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzz***********vvvvvvvvv'.
The detachable numeric keypad only causes false contacts, so it's useless.
The RGB configuration crashes/resets every time the computer is restarted.
The ASUS service is particularly stupid because the latest AC updates have rendered this keyboard unusable simply because it no longer writes (fortunately my old Logitech keyboard from 10 years ago is still working).
LDLC thank you for withdrawing this product from sales, it is a scam,
PS: Of course all this was brought to the attention of ASUS service easily 9 months ago.
The keyboard is really good, I love the sound of the keys and the battery is not bad (I recharge it about every 3-4 days) only this is the software from Asus (Armoury Crate) that allows you to manage the keyboard settings and the software is an absolute purge, between resetting the settings for no reason and some settings not wanting to work or even the software not wanting to install for no reason
So as usual, my experience with Asus can be summed up as Good hardware, bad software, at this price it's annoying.
The keyboard is very well made.
The battery lasts a long time.
The LEDs are brighter than my old Logitech G510 and can be adjusted via "ARMOURY CRATE D'ASUS".
The keyboard is still a surprise, it's nice, I didn't expect it, but the price is completely out of line for a simple keyboard that doesn't even have a screen, ASUS is exaggerating.
Yes, it is very expensive. I have looked at omparison tests against custom us keyboards. Even if in is it's qwerty. The quality of the switches, the material which is pbt and not abs. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a keyboard that's not a good choice for a keyboard that's not a good choice. This was not the case on the first version I used for 4 years.
The keyboard is absolutely brilliant with a very comfortable typing experience! The RGB is splendid and infinitely customizable and in gaming it is absolutely perfect, moreover with the numeric pad that you can detach and put on the left or on the right it is really a not negligible plus and hyper practical for the gaming! It's a great piece of equipment and I'm really happy with it. It may be expensive but frankly it's worth it!
The keyboard is great, modular and holds a charge (1 month on a 100% charge, as a comparison my old g915 held 1.5 months but the battery was 5000mah and the claymore 2 is 4000mah).
The connectivity is also very good and stable.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to plug it into a USB that supports fast charging, which takes 2-3 hours to charge from 5 to 100%, as it takes much longer on a regular USB.
The armoury crate software works perfectly with it and the rgb can be discrete depending on the setting.
The switches are very pleasant to the touch and respond very well but the noise is different from the classic mechanical switches. The materials of the keyboard body are nice and neat with a brushed aluminium look.
I have to admit that the product is expensive. At the beginning I had some problems with the macro.
Eventually for the claymore 3 make the pad functional without having to plug it in?
