The 10700k is a superb processor which is more powerful than the I9 of the 9th Gen: I have OC at 5.0GHZ ALL CORES and it works perfectly in games and in multitasking with my kraken X73 it does not exceed 70 °C in full load.I mounted it on a Z490 tomahawk with trident Z 16go 3600cl16 and it is a perfect combo!
CPU bought for a brand new build, replacing my old one which was running with an i7-6700K. Combined with an ASUS ROG Strix Z490-E GAMING CM and 16GB of DDR4 CL16 3600MHz RAM, I'm already gaining between 10 and 15 FPS on most games, while I've kept the CG of my old one (and yes, it's such a pain to get my hands on a 3070 or 3080 FE...). This CPU is very powerful, and delivers excellent performance if you combine it with good companions (clearly, I recommend the same CM, and for RAM, I chose a 2*8 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX Series Low Profile kit). The only downside is its price, which tends to increase over time. In my configuration, it is cooled by a custom Corsair Hydro X Series watercooling, and I have not yet exceeded 40°C. If you're a gaming or multi-tasking enthusiast, go for it!
It's hard to argue with hardware that works the way you want it to: it's a very efficient processor, no installation problems.
A brute! This processor will run your most demanding games or all your photo processing without even thinking about it. It's enough to keep you going for a few years.
Swap an i7 4470k for one of these day and night!
The performance is incredible and the greedy games are served!

Even though it's 14nm, I prefer the robustness of INTEL over AMD.
