Not my first Shield.
Makes any TV connected, in a better way than anything else I've tested.
And above all, flawless software support from nvidia (which many android phone manufacturers should learn from), even since the 1st Shield.
LDLC delivery has always been top notch! The equipment is well protected in its parcel. One of the best Android TV boxes after several box purchases! I appreciate LDLC for their seriousness and professionalism. The site is clear and comprehensive!

Good reception, the product was well packaged, it was not loose in the shipping box, which sometimes happens. Otherwise, thank you for your advice in choosing this appliance, which fulfils its purpose.
The Shield TV has been my box for 2 years now, and the service is almost beyond reproach. Picture quality, functionality, responsiveness, updates, simplicity... I have nothing to complain about in any of these areas.
I'm just a little sorry about the Netflix button, which, as soon as it's touched, interrupts any activity in progress to open the platform, which can't be left with a simple 'back' button (that would be too simple).
Other than that, everything runs like clockwork, the box is completely silent and is forgotten as soon as it's tucked away behind the TV. And there's been no sign of weakness since the purchase in March 2021 until this comment in July 2023.

The only regret is that we don't know everything we can do with it (and there is a lot!).

Replacing my Xi.. under android TV at the beginning we don't see too many differences, but they come quickly and very well. The sound finally 5.1! real, but its other great thing is that it is recognized CEC so you press the remote power ON and there magic the TV, My home theater everything starts with, obviously the OFF button turns everything off! and "Voilà!"
there's still the But, I think in the model they sent me they FORGOT THE PROCESSOR!!!!
I can install Asphalt 9 without worrying, the game starts, the countdown is just 2 and the lags go crazy, and poof it crashes, reboot, new try same hum hum a tergra X+ with 256 cores.... So minus 3 and here I am super nice because there is the NVIDIA logo on it as well as on the ignition

The Shield Tv 2019 has a full-featured android TV (Netflix, Amazon, Canal play, Disney +: it's all possible!), smooth and fast, especially compared to the Mi box S.
The connectivity is simple and it is easy to hide behind the TV.
The only thing left to do now is to make GeForce Now available in all parts of the world. Which is not the case for me. A pity.
Fast and efficient installation. I have access to my box without any problems. Before I bought the Shield TV, the projector was connected to HDMI via a transmitter/receiver, the image was of average quality. Now, I discover (finally) the true potential of my BenQ and its HD image (simulated 4K). Great!

Does the job, I recommend Kodi for multimedia (Jpeg, music, and video up to x265!).
Nvidia Shield with Geforce is useful if your PC has a graphics card. Allows you to stream your games from your PC via Nvidia Shadow.
I advise you to take a PS4 controller. Don't forget to disconnect manually on the Shield, otherwise the controller will never turn off.
Compact and doesn't get hot.
The device is so simple, light and powerful that it is simply magical. The voice recognition and automatic button illumination are some of those killer little details that make for an incredibly smooth experience. I was able to turn an old, almost useless TV into a high-performance smart TV.
Having tried a lot of multimedia boxes and having been systematically disappointed, I decided to switch to an Nvidia Shield and I must admit that I am totally won over.

Very good quality product and almost flawless operation so far. The only downside is that it needs to be restarted from time to time as the menu is frozen. And being a Popcorn Hour Vten owner, I just think it's a shame that there isn't a good multimedia platform to integrate with the "NMJ Multimedia Jukebox" type, but if setting up this Jukebox is a bit complicated, once it's done, it's a real pleasure.
I finally fell for this version of the Nvidia Shield, as the USB version with more ram was hard to get.
I've been using it with a micro SD card and it does everything you ask it to do.
As I have a Free One box, it was impossible for me to play a movie in 4K.
The big advantage is that it is not noticeable at all.
It reads all formats, even 4K 10bits, without flinching.
The only drawback is its price.
For the rest it's great.
Clearly excellent, nothing to complain about, except the very limited access to the google play store games, very little choice in the end.
The Shield is an excellent product that offers seamless playback of videos, photos and music, both in streaming and local playback. Its format allows it to hide quite easily behind a piece of furniture or a TV, the software processing is really top notch, whether it's HDR or upscaling. Nvidia offers a game streaming which is really appreciable, it allows you to play games on your PC on your living room TV.
I bought this to interface with PLEX on my NAS because my Orange box only did it in DLNA.
Nothing to complain about, it works like a charm, in Wifi the 4K streams perfectly.
The Harmony Elite can be controlled without any problem, even if the default settings are completely different.
Ordered on December 16th from Reunion Island...received on December 24th, it was easy to install. The tube is discreet and fits easily behind my screen. The applications (MyCanal, Netflix, Amazon) work perfectly.
More discreet than the old one but just as powerful. Used mainly for watching TV/movies/youtube.
The hardware is what I was looking for, an invisible media centre. I was only looking for a YouTube and netflix access to place on an old TV. And, being the proud owner of a SHIELD TV PRO 2015, I couldn't see myself going to another brand. Compared to my 2015 shield, the start is striking... but as I'm not a gamer, I couldn't tell you anything about the gaming side.
