This SSD works very well and is good value for money. Perfect for "waking up" an old laptop.
The SSD works very well but BEWARE: the actual size available is less than that of a 500GB mechanical HDD... (450GB real for the SSD against 470GB for the mechanical HDD)
So if like me you plan to buy it to upgrade your old computer to SSD, it will only work with an old drive with a capacity of less than 500GB (e.g. 250GB). (Otherwise, get a 1TB SSD instead!)
This disk was very easy to install and gave life back to a pc that is equipped with one of the first quadecore; the boot was in 30 seconds under Windows 7 64 bits
Very good product to give a second life to an 11 year old MacBook. I have an identical ssd running for the same reasons on another MacBook and I am very happy with it.

I bought this SSD to replace a Samsung 500GB SSD that failed after a month (bought from a competitor of LDLC). It has been working well for a month, but I was disappointed to discover its consumption indicated on the shell: 1.7 amps when the Samsung was only supposed to consume 1.2 amps. Not a big deal for a laptop installation, a bit worrying as a peripheral for a Raspberry PI powered with 2.5 amps.
I couldn't find this power consumption information on either the LDLC or Crucial websites.
As usual, the product arrived on time and in good condition. I recommend this site without hesitation.

This is a good intermediate quality product. I took it to boost my Thinkpad T510 because this hardware was perfectly compatible with it. It does the job perfectly.

I had already fitted my tower with an already powerful hybrid HD but the switch to pure SSDs has accelerated the speed even further.
Easy to mount as the light weight of the unit allowed me to screw it into the drive housing without the need for an adapter - a simple bracket in case I had to transport the tower. Easy cloning with the utility provided on the crucial site.
This operation being added to the doubling of the memory my micro responds perfectly well.
Only problem, no more dreaming while waiting for the pages...
Used as a replacement for the hard drive in my 2013 Labtop. Recognised by the bios immediately, then system install (in my case Linux Mint 20.1). I've also been using other SSDs from the brand for several years without incident.

I replaced an old mechanical hard drive with this Crucial SSD, after cloning it on the excellent LDLC cloning station: it is incomparable.

Went to settings, command prompt, etc. disk doesn't exist!
The ssd is problematic to install, the screws are not long enough to fix it on the cradle. i had to take the extra screws from the new pc to fix it. otherwise technically, nothing to do with the normal HD, day and night. very good product

It is difficult to give an opinion on a hard drive. The speed is satisfactory and it works... to be seen in time.
I use this SSD in windows partition and for resource intensive games. Coupled with a RAID1 HDD, I am very happy with it, load times are reduced compared to my old HDD.
500 GB is more than enough to install the system (even a dual boot for me) and some games and software. You can always store your archives and data on an HDD.
This drive is perfect for replacing the hard drive in my aging laptop.
It is fast and works great after re-installing my operating system.

Used as a system drive with 2 HDDs for different uses, it is reliable, does not get hot. Maybe not the fastest SSD but it does its job well and offers 480GB which is very good. I'm happy with it.
This Crucial SSD has given an old laptop a real boost. Boot time went from 22s 84" to 10s 44".
I'm not sure how much I'm going to pay for SSDs, but I'm not sure how much I'm going to pay for SSDs...

installed on a 2016 pc, i changed the ram, 2*4giga and this ssd.
With a windows bootable key created on the old hard drive, I installed the ssd, and asked the bios to reboot to the bootable key.
The installation of windows took 15 minutes.
Now the pc reboots in 15 seconds.

I have a Crucial M4 128GB SSD that has been running since December 2012, as the main drive in a GAMER PC that runs for several hours a day, and it still works perfectly.
Crystal Disk Info today gives me the following: 96% health status, 19126 hours of operation, 4800 boot cycles, 132 deleted blocks which correspond to the spaces that have become unusable (and explain the 4% lost over the lifetime).
I think that after 7 years of "high" operation, it is not bad, and it reassures on the life of a SSD in a gamer station.
I hope the new Crucial will be as good as the old one.
I am happy with this SSD. I installed it in my tower and put my Linux OS Magéia 7.1 . It works perfectly, and it's very fast. Why the note 9/10, I never put 10/10! That said I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Having previously had a 5200tr/m HDD, I have been reliving since I installed this SSD, it takes me less than 10 seconds for the OS to boot up and run. An undeniable gain in performance.

I had to work a little harder to install this item (compared to installing a RAM strip). However, everything is in the box: instructions, tips, etc... Once installed I don't regret it at all! The speed of my PC is really great now (the purchase of a here box helped me a lot to clone my old HDD).
After a few years with a 128GB SSD and two 400GB HDDs, I cleaned up a bit by transferring a lot of data to my NAS and I'm putting what's left on this 480GB SSD.
The usable space and read/write performance are in line with the technical specifications (very slightly behind other more expensive models).
For me, it's a no-fail installation. It remains to be seen how it will hold up over time (in use for 2 months on my PC)
