First power outage after the end of the warranty and the UPS stops dead without taking over. yet the battery indicates a 100% charge with an output consumption of around 25% and of course no warning indicator on the LCD screen.

The fan only turned on once for a few seconds. And there, it's rather noisy. It was probably a power outage.
I also had to download the full manual because the one provided is too brief for a beginner.

Eaton is a highly reputable brand for this type of product, probably because of its longevity.
This is the second one I've bought. The first one lasted seven years, whereas the norm is often around two to three years.
Received within the proposed timeframe. Carefully packaged.
Setup is very intuitive. I just needed to check one detail, but the instructions cleared up my (momentary) confusion.
And once it's up and running, it does what it's supposed to do. In short, no more micro or mini outages for my server.
Recommended purchase. The price is reasonable considering the quality of the product.
I'm really pleased with this UPS, which successfully secures my NAS in the event of a power cut thanks to its USB output. Compact and professional quality, I recommend it.

Please note that there are no sockets on the top of this model. 4 sockets on the back, including 3 on the battery.
Functional inverter but a few problems. Unlimited" warranty on packaging misleading - only 3 years actual battery included.
1st breakdown 07/2023 (purchased 07/2021): inverter no longer switched to battery. Eaton after-sales service excellent, replaced the whole unit.
2nd fault 09/2025: same symptoms, warranty expired. Tests revealed that the Chinese "LEOCH" DJW12-7.0EL batteries had died in both cases, without any system warning. Replaced with Yuasa RE7-12LFR batteries: everything works perfectly again.
BALANCE SHEET :
Inverter: -1 (no warning of battery failure)
LEOCH batteries: -5 (poor quality, do not last 3 years)
Eaton after-sales service: +4 (excellent warranty, but anti-ecological policy of complete replacement)
The problem is clearly with the poor quality original batteries, not with the UPS itself.
The product fully met my expectations.

Strong chemical smell when unpacked and then the same smell when operating.
I wouldn't be the only one to have noticed this.
The product is currently switched on outside a living room, but it is not possible to connect IT equipment to it.
The smell has diminished after 4 weeks with the power on, but it's still too strong to install the UPS in the office, which is in a house.
I reported the problem to the seller.
I'll keep at it for a few more days and if there's no improvement, I plan to ask for a replacement.
I bought it at the La Valette shop and plugged it in. After a while, an acrid smell of combustion invaded the room.

The battery lasted 4 years and a few days, I discovered it by chance when my NAS restarted alone, too bad there isn't a way to see the state of wear of the battery.

Purchased in January 2021. After three years (a little less, actually), no longer holds a charge. The battery was replaced, but that didn't solve the problem. Now useless, except possibly as a lightning arrester...
I'd already had this product for many years (probably a good ten) before it stopped working. So I'm buying the same one again, as it does the job perfectly for a reasonable price.
It will have lasted 3 years exactly.
So far it's saved my NAS from sudden power cuts, but for some time now, and despite a green light on "ok", every time there's a power cut it shuts down. It's just the NAS and an internet box connected to it.
It's a shame that there's no warning that the battery is dead.... it was the power cut and the sudden shutdown of my Nas that alerted me!
However, on the display, all the charge bars are there.
Already the second model bought, the first is at least 3 years old.
Pros :
- Quiet, (unlike the top model whose fan spins all the time),
- Does the job, already tested with laptop + raspberry pi 4 on a 10 min power cut. It works,
- Flat, unobtrusive design, everything that's good about it,
the minuses :
- It's a pain to find the Windows driver, and for Linux, you have to get used to it. Frankly, it's completely out of place on a computer,
- power consumption display, which I'd say is a bit far-fetched on devices that consume very little power (laptop at the very least, Steam deck -> 100w overall).
This inverter that weighs its weight (of battery) does the job in silence.
With an Intel i3-8th, a Geforce 1650 and two SSDs, in daily use, with multimedia or games, you can see on the UPS screen that +/- 65W are consumed. So that leaves some room for improvement.
It is possible to change some of the settings of this device with a little Eaton software.
A small remark: the user manual provided by the manufacturer is a little too light for my taste.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.
The package protects the device well with its power cable + USB cable long enough to not have to stick the machine to protect. I've been using it for a while now and it's a good idea to check it out. I have had several competing devices fail just after the end of the warranty (1 to 2 weeks at APC) I took the extension without question.
The management would deserve an additional button to validate/change the category, everything on the same one is a bit... heavy (-3 stars).
Original packaging of the inverter with a shipping label, no special protection (cardboard overpack, foam, bubble, etc.). For equipment with electronics, this is far too little. As far as the inverter itself is concerned, nothing to complain about, it works very well.
I ordered this inverter from this brand that I know well. I was expecting to have a silent model in non-wave mode on which I could retrieve consumption data and that's exactly what I got.
For the record, I am retrieving the data using a Raspbian 10 computer with the nut service (usbhid-ups driver).
The fan that activates in ripple mode is quite noisy, so you can quickly notice that something is wrong with the power supply.
I just had a bit of trouble with the one-button interface for menu navigation, I guess there really is such a thing as a one-button remuneration (https://youtu.be/LaAyGAKg4Cs?t=307)...

I'm talking about a volume of 10 inverters, 8 of which broke down between 2 and 3 years ago, whereas before they were 6 to 8 years old, and yes, my 8 year old MGE still works, even with the battery. I'm going to go and test the competition, because even the service procedures are useless.

After 2 years and 1 month (warranty expired) it starts to shut down by itself. Twice in a week. Obviously the NAS is cut with and without backup. The battery indicator shows that it is empty and therefore can no longer hold a charge. No warning of the fault before. The battery life is given for 4 years. The only thing left to do is to find a replacement battery.
As soon as I unpacked the EATON ELLIPSE PRO 650 FR, I noticed a strong irritating chemical odour, and I had to air the room as much as possible. I wonder if an electronic component would not have leaked. I observe through the grill, we see electronic components, it seems to be normal, I plug it in, it works, and does what the manufacturer says. After a few hours I had to change it to a different part, but it still smells like a strong chemical irritant after 24 hours of use in a well ventilated room. So I'm wondering if the one I received might have a defect at this level, now I think there's a problem. Maybe the battery?

Good UPS, protects an average gamer setup. That said, it is very very heavy (batteries). A little bit too small for a computer + screen + router, but it is very suitable for a network cabinet (15 min at 200W).
Practical alarm signal in case of problems.
The product seems to be sufficient for its intended use (i.e. protection of a NAS, a router and an internet box). For the moment, only the NAS is connected and the inverter announces roughly 7% of power and 1 hour of autonomy.
Be careful though: although there are 4 sockets, only 3 are really protected in case of a power cut. It is only possible to use it to control a master socket.
As for the packaging, it's a bit limited, the device being sent as is, without any other box than this one. No damage to report but it is surprising.
Oversized for the moment: secures the box, a router, a switch and two NAS (Syno and Netgear)... USB is natively managed by Synology, and instantaneous UPS feedback.
Heats up a bit (but nothing alarming), no noise...
A good product, delivered quickly in the manufacturer's packaging.
I've got nothing to say about the product, easy to understand the different modes and the use of the master/slave sockets.
I use it to power my back-up nas (Syno DS215j), usb connection is recognized by it directly.

I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it for a long time. The box took a hit, the device fortunately not. The box took a beating, the device fortunately did not. At the price of shipping costs for Belgium and the number of complaints, a correct packaging is not too much to ask.
Beware, the autonomies displayed are not at all related to the nominal power of the product (650VA).
In my case, at 34% power, 10 minutes of autonomy for a large desktop PC, a NAS QNAP TS231P and a Gigabyte 8 port switch. Solution: very fast power off of the PC and there we go to more than 20 min.
Compatible with QNAP TS231P via USB.
Obviously a good working product.
It is a version with a screen, whereas the competition sells a version without an LCD screen for the same price.
Does its job as everything continues to work when the power is turned off.
On the other hand, the usb connection with the syno hasn't worked yet and it's not with the manual provided that I will find an explanation.
I'll have to find the time to investigate further.
This is the third Ellipse pro I've bought, excellent life span, satisfactory autonomy and often slightly better than advertised, regular self-test...
The only drawback is the stability of the USB interface which causes regular kernel messages (Linux) (USB disconnect then USB connect more precisely), a bit annoying, which costs it dearly a half star.
But don't be fooled, the quality remains excellent.
in the positive points :
- perfectly recognized by the synology in USB (DS110J for info)
- quite complete front panel
- relatively quiet except for the occasional fan blow (rather rare)
negative points :
- NO PACKAGING. WTF LDLC ? IT'S BEEN 1259x that you were notified! The parcel is delivered in the original box, without any additional protection (the parcel service told me that the postal employee had not taken any precautions and had thrown the bag with the items quite heavily on the ground...) and with the item in full view at the risk of tempting theft...
- has a slight smell of heated plastic. mainly noticeable when near the device, but in the room no problem.
I give it a 3.5* because of this packaging problem which is really unacceptable.
A bit oversized for my configuration, but I like to see far...
So I can backup my DS414 and LS-WXL70A NAS, the DGS108 swich, and the two Free_revolution_ADSL + SFR_FO boxes (total 98VA, 28 mn autonomy). There is still enough to add a load sharing router...
The USB is managed by the Synology NAS without problem. You plug it in, it's recognized in a second.
I'm not sure what to say about it, except for the non-existent LDLC packaging: original manufacturer's packaging, a bit damaged during transport but no damage inside. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get it in the mail, but I'm sure I'll be able to get it here.
PS: no particular odours, fan a bit noisy under load.

- + : the layout of the sockets is annoying when the appliances you connect to them have large transformers.
The gluing was a little light (it was sent like that without cardboard just the box of the inverter with the B.L. on it, it surprised me LDLC with whom I have never known a single faultless)

The only disappointment is that the USB socket is useless for a Mac user, as the USB is not connected to the power supply.
It's a pity because I was waiting for a signal from the inverter to the Imac to trigger a "soft" shutdown in case of a power cut. So I'll wait for a hard shutdown when the UPS battery is empty.

The inverter works perfectly, nothing to complain about.
But disappointed, I returned it because it has a horrible plastic / chemical smell. In short, in 1 room of 9m2, the smell does not go away (the VOC must be high), even after 1 week, the smell is still there!

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use this product. I bought 2 inverters 650, 1 Pro USB and 1 Eco. I saw in the specifications that there was a PLC compatible socket but I can't tell which one. Is it battery powered or not? The first, the last? Apart from that, I'm very happy. The Eco protects my TV, my Proximus decoder, my home cinema and a switch (via a domino). The Pro, protects my modem (BBox 3) and my NAS Synology DS216 II+ connected by the USB cable provided. I tested it by removing the plugs, everything works and my NAS is warned when it goes on battery (warned by email). I'm very happy with it all in all.
This is a good inverter compatible and certified with the Synology Nas. The plugs are FR standards. The 650 model offers about 45min of autonomy with a DS916+8G full disks. The protected connector is RJ11/RJ45 compatible for the tel line or a switch port. Perfect :)
I bought 4 inverters of this model a few months ago and no problems. It is discreet, does not heat up, the display is complete. With my PC, it has an autonomy of 10 minutes for a consumption of 139 watts. I also use it on digital conversion units which do not support micro cuts with a 25 minutes autonomy.
