The appliance is certainly very efficient, but I didn't keep it long enough to realise this. The continuous noise of the fan bothered me too much in my small workroom where no other equipment makes noise, and I couldn't place it outside. My computers are continuously ventilated but are extremely quiet in normal use. In my opinion, the target is more appropriate in places where other equipment also emits background noise or in large offices with several people.
To replace an eaton ellipse 600 inverter (out of order) and on the advice of a technician, I have just purchased an eaton ellipse 120 FR inverter.
Compared with the old model, this inverter offers, among other things, the advantage of "regulating the output voltage" in the event of power cuts or variations in the voltage of the electronic network.
Although a little noisy because of a fan that runs constantly (when the inverter is connected to the mains, everything works correctly; it's a good compromise for powering, among other things, the computer, the screen and the NAS).
Personally, I recommend using this equipment
Good response time and sufficient autonomy even for a fairly powerful configuration (AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU, AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU, 32 GB DDR4, Raid1 2TB, and 2 1TB MP600 Corsair SSDs).
The sound pack and printer are switched off when the PC Master is switched off... very good.
Tested when switched off, gives more than 10 to 15 minutes of autonomy depending on use.
No info on the PLC ready.... socket in the doc! (half an * less).
The UPS companion software does give the necessary information....but you have to do a not-so-obvious search on the Eaton site to download it (half a * less).
Two 12v 7AH batteries ...to be continued.
This "Eaton Ellipse PRO 1200 FR" model is a little noisier than the "Eaton Ellipse PRO 850 FR" that I had bought previously. Even when computers and other peripherals are switched off, the fan continues to spin and therefore produces a slight noise. In comparison, this is not the case with the other, less powerful model, which is perfectly silent, even though the designs of this model series are identical.
This equipment complements an Eaton Ellipse 650 Pro, which has been in operation for over three years.
I am globally satisfied with it, since it fulfils its role very well.
The RJ45 port is an important element, which allows the protection of active equipment.
A small remark, however, on the connection of the FR sockets which generates a slight play with time.
This equipment should be integrated in a patch bay in a dedicated room, so as not to suffer the inconvenience of the ventilation which is a little noisy, but effective.
It's a bit big, but I needed 4 back-up sockets for my core network at home (we often have micro outages) and it does the job well.

I had purchased this product in late 2018, and since then it has had no worries, it helps well in rural areas with many power outages and drops, properly protects my equipment such as a Synology 720+ NAS compatible with UPS functionality.
I bought this model to replace an APC inverter at the end of its life (because of a battery that could not be changed) to protect a home cinema system (including a Sony HD projector). Very easy to install, allows to follow the power consumption continuously. The only drawback is that the fan is slightly noisy, in any case more so than the projector, which is located just above the heads. That's why I don't give it the maximum mark, otherwise nothing to say.
Original packaging of the inverter with a shipping label, no special protection (cardboard overpack, foam, bubble, etc.). For equipment with electronics, this is far too little, so I had to have the 1200 replaced by EATON, (although I'm not sure if this is the cause), in any case, a lot of time wasted for the replacement (photos, emails, etc). So rather disappointed. As far as the inverter itself is concerned, nothing to complain about, it works very well now.

Well designed and well finished. Perfectly meets my expectations. It protects a SYNOLOGY DS716+II NAS, a Livebox 4 and a 5 port switch. The autonomy in uninterruptible power supply is more than comfortable: 80 min. (=> I have set the switch to secure mode on my NAS to 30 minutes). Recognized without problem by DSM 6. Silent ventilation, So nothing to complain about except that the application is only available for Windows (same problem with APC), the NAS OS are in fact Linux, so it would not have been very complicated to make compatible packages available, so one star less for this very bad will of the manufacturer. It is still possible to set parameters with the LCD screen, but this is a bit of a sport as the very minimalist documentation is not very explicit on this manipulation.

I already have an EATON Ellipse Pro 850 and I changed the battery after four years for devices that run continuously 16 hours a day.
I use the UPS as a backup power supply for my nas (Synology). Everything works fine, as does the automatic shutdown of the UPS in the event of a power cut. Easy to use.

I am at 25% of the MAX power.
I did the cut-off test: I last about 20 minutes on battery.
It is true that in a room it makes noise but in my living room, it purrs a little.

I invested in this model which seemed to me complete and especially powerful.
The LCD screen gives useful basic information without having to use software. I read all the reviews about this inverter about the noise it can make. So YES it is noisy! It's not so much the noise of the fans that bothered me but the little whistle they produce. It might be necessary to review this component and replace it with fans that are a little more discreet to be able to use it in pure domestic use. I would have kept it if it didn't whistle like that. It may be a defect of the one I received in particular, I don't know. So I decided to send it back because even with this defect, I think I was wrong for my use. I took back the ELLIPSE 1200 ECO which has no fan, which is totally silent. I'm waiting for it to finish charging so I can test it in real life. The LCD screen of its big brother "PRO" could be added to it to make it perfect. The downloadable software is simple but it has all the info and settings you need. I'll do an update when I've done the tests.

The possibilities offered by the inverter are very comprehensive: protection against mains failure and overvoltage for four devices, but also against overvoltage for only four other devices.
This inverter has a small, handy display. A number of parameters can be 'programmed', such as the output voltage for the devices supplied by the UPS. In the event of a power failure, a signal sounds, which can be switched off. The duration of the emergency power supply is also visible. A mains failure is (almost) no longer a stress with this UPS!
It's true that its continuous ventilation is not inaudible, but that's no reason to exaggerate. It is largely bearable and does not make more noise than my NAS.
It's battery life is perfect. It plays its role well.
The inverter seems to work well but is unfortunately too noisy, even at no load. The fan hums too much. Avoid it unless you can store it in a cabinet or rack.
On battery, the noise is like a plane taking off.

Hello I am not satisfied at all with my ETN Ellipse Pro 1200 inverter, bought in August 2014, it gave up the ghost in August 2016, its warranty is over.
It does not do its job anymore during a power cut. After control, the batteries give each 12 volts, it simply remains on. I am very disappointed with this brand given its price. Maybe a possibility of repairing it given my non-professional use.
We frequently have power cuts, voltage drops, etc. It takes over directly and has a good autonomy.
It is rather discreet and the screen is nice to know the different information on consumption and everything else.
I bought this product especially to protect my computer equipment during storms, screen, tower, box, phone and it's just happiness, I tested with power failure it takes over without even having the slightest drop in voltage on my screen or box cut, the minimum to have to protect your equipment with confidence and efficiency, battery life rather decent I recommend it with my eyes closed :)
I have had several UPS's that ended tragically after only 1 year of use. I chose this one because of its ability to support my computer equipment continuously (+ box).
For the moment, the device gives complete satisfaction (it has only been used for a few weeks). It makes up for voltage problems well, in one direction or the other.
It is quite silent and knows how to be forgotten.
It remains to be seen how long it will last.
I have been using this product for a while now and I am very pleased with the service. I will be using it again in the future.

I had decided to test a 1200va for my computer set in anticipation of also taking one for my home cinema. Indeed I live in the countryside in an area where there are a lot of more or less long power cuts (rarely more than 15 minutes), sometimes several in a row. After my second burnt out computer, I finally decided to react.
After some research, I opted for an interractive line, a good price/protection alternative between off-line and online. I chose the 1200va because I didn't want to be too short in power but also because there were 8 protected plugs on this model.
The elements connected to it:
- On the 4 protected sockets and powered by the backup battery: CPU+screen+router+printer
- On the 4 protected sockets only: speakers+phone+lamp+chargers
- Connection of my telephone line which is now also protected.
Normal delivery (no Chronopost surcharge). The delivery man came 2 days after ordering, the packaging was perfect (I was worried about this because of some comments)
I'm very happy with the way the system is set up, although I haven't looked at the automatic shutdown of Windows yet.
30% of the possible charge used only and 30 minutes of autonomy. I tested it by switching off the power supply, and it works perfectly without any noise even when switched off. The inverter screen goes to sleep by itself.
