Out of order after 2 years.
Shortly after the end of the warranty.....
I don't recommend this style of UPS, I'm disappointed.
The parcel was not delivered to my home as requested but dropped off at a relay 12 km away.... without any information.
The delivery was declared done, I only discovered the fact when I asked the carrier for explanations.
The Post Office is always more serious!
Nothing to add, this inverter fulfils its functions correctly, for a relatively moderate size.
I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure how long it will last....
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a new one, but I'm sure I'll be able to get a new one, and I'm sure I'll be able to get a new one.
The device has spent a month or so after thirty or so email exchanges, it finally arrived (the UPS delivery man didn't want to come)
I took over the Ellipse 650 FR model to replace the same device acquired in 2012. Unfortunately this one doesn't offer the battery monitoring software. I guess that in case of battery failure I will not receive any notification and will think I am protected when I am not. I should have paid more attention, read the specifications of the Ellipse 650 FR USB model as well and compared line by line. I think that "No monitoring software" should be in the specifications.

Thank you for your comment and we apologise for the problem you have experienced. The life span of batteries depends on many factors (operating conditions, number of power surges, temperature, etc.) and is normally three years. We offer extended warranties for this purpose.

I have ordered several Ellipse 650 with USB from LDLC. For this one I had to click a little quickly, confirmed by the photo which showed a USB slot (the reference is very close to the one with USB). Impossible to manage this UPS and to make shutdowns of intelligent servers (for a dozen Euros difference with the USB version...).

We can confirm that our Eaton Ellipse ECO inverter range has different models with or without USB port (depending on the desired use).
The 500VA model is available without USB port (ref: EL500FR)
The 650VA model is available with USB port (ref: EL650USBFR) or without USB port (ref: EL650FR)
The 800VA, 1200VA & 1600VA models are systematically available with USB port (ref: EL800USBFR / EL1200USBFR / EL1600USBFR)
Moreover, this is the Ellipse ECO range in French FR 230V sockets. Our range also exists in IEC and DIN plugs (other references).

On the material level, nothing to say. On the other hand, the delivery is not so good. I have to say that I'm very happy with this product, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get it. I'm glad I logged into my LDLC account and saw that the delivery had arrived at the collection point (La Poste). I have to say that I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product. I have to say that I'm very pleased with the product. I bought 2 inverters 650, 1 Pro USB and 1 Eco. I saw in the specifications that there was a PLC compatible socket but I can't tell which one. Is it battery powered or not? The first, the last? Apart from that, I'm very happy. The Eco protects my TV, my Proximus decoder, my home cinema and a switch (via a domino). The Pro, protects my modem (BBox 3) and my NAS Synology DS216 II+ connected by the USB cable provided. I tested it by removing the plugs, everything works and my NAS is warned when it goes on battery (warned by email). I'm very happy with it all in all.

Product received in record time as is often the case. The packaging is a bit damaged but well protected inside the package.
The inverter in question is quite basic, but it did not promise more for the price advertised. Unpacked and installed directly without any problems. Works perfectly.
I took this inverter because it is the exact copy of another one of previous generation (MGE Ellipse 600); of this last one, I had changed the battery very easily via a site for electronics technicians; that reassured me for the future change of the one of the Eaton. The dimensions of the Eaton are very close to the MGE (narrower however) and it therefore fits easily in a cabinet.
The plastics and the weight give an impression of quality. It remains to be tested under load; note the announcement in the manual of a drop in battery durability at temperatures above 25°C; there is also for some an interest in the 'Eco Control' function to put equipment connected to the top socket on standby.
As for the delivery: I live in a 'hole' far from LDLC; however, the delivery times are very reasonable: ordered on Saturday evening, the package arrived on Thursday afternoon in a parcel delivery service (many thanks to Mobil Fun, 06530 Peymeinade). As LDLC's packaging is non-existent, I withdraw one star; the original Eaton box had the corners pressed in and a slight tear on the side; this is intolerable for a company like LDLC. You be the judge....
