Solstice 8: Spacious, precise sound reproduction, rich in emotion
The Triangle Solstice 8 floorstanding speakers combine power, precision and acoustic refinement to deliver an immersive listening experience. Featuring a 3-way, 4-driver architecture, they combine a magnesium alloy horn-loaded tweeter, a 16 cm midrange driver and two 16 cm bass drivers. Their Bass-Reflex design with a laminar port promotes deep, controlled bass reproduction, while their 91 dB sensitivity and frequency response from 38 Hz to 22 kHz allow them to reproduce the full richness of recordings. Suitable for rooms from 15 to 50 m², they fit naturally into a Hi-Fi or Home-Cinema system.
A horn-loaded tweeter designed to open up the soundstage
At the heart of the acoustic innovations in the Solstice range is the TZ2540MG horn-loaded tweeter with a 25 mm driver, featuring a design specially developed by Triangle. Its magnesium alloy diaphragm is paired with a new phase plug designed to optimise the dispersion of high frequencies. Its redesigned horn profile, featuring an exclusive barrel-shaped mouth, contributes to precise, balanced treble reproduction. The midrange also benefits from significant improvements, with a 16 cm driver with a diaphragm made from natural cellulose pulp and a new rear-bonding process. This technology increases the diaphragm's radiating surface and improves the linearity of sound reproduction. Together, these features reveal the nuances of voices and the harmonic richness of instruments within an open, natural soundstage.
Controlled bass and an ingenious acoustic base
The Triangle Solstice 8 speakers feature two 16 cm bass drivers with concave paper diaphragms and no dust caps, delivering deep, dynamic and controlled bass. Their design is complemented by a new die-cast aluminium basket, whose arched structure promotes acoustic neutrality. The innovation extends to the multifunction base, which conceals the port outlet so that airflow is channelled through the speaker's foot. Its honeycomb cast-iron structure is covered in silicone to help absorb vibrations, while its 2° tilt optimises directivity and widens the listening area. Adjustable metal spikes ensure good floor stability. Finally, the dual binding posts, compatible with bi-wiring and bi-amping, offer more options for creating a personalised audio system.
