Overview

A rugged, manageable PoE switch built for demanding environments


The Dahua CHS4110-8ET-110 is a rugged 10-port Layer 2 switch designed to provide both data transmission and power to PoE network devices. It offers 8 PoE RJ45 10/100 Mbps ports, complemented by a Gigabit RJ45 uplink port and a Gigabit SFP uplink port, for a total switching capacity of 5.6 Gbit/s. Compatible with IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, IEEE 802.3bt and Hi-PoE protocols, it delivers a total PoE budget of up to 110 W, with up to 90 W on ports 1 and 2, meeting the needs of particularly power-hungry network devices.

Designed to simplify management and enhance service continuity, the CHS4110-8ET-110 supports local management via a Web interface as well as Cloud management. Its Extend mode enables transmission over ports 1 to 8 up to 250 metres, with the negotiation speed reducible to 10 Mbit/s. The PoE Watchdog function monitors traffic on PoE ports and can restart a faulty port if no traffic is detected for two minutes. The switch also offers numerous network features, including IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, LLDP, port mirroring, port isolation, traffic limiting and various network storm control mechanisms.

Its design is also suited to installations exposed to harsh conditions: its iron housing has IP30 and IK06 protection ratings, while its operating temperature range extends from -30 °C to +65 °C. It also features protection against electrostatic discharge and lightning on Ethernet ports. Compact, it can be installed on a desktop or DIN rail, offering great flexibility for integration into a network or video surveillance infrastructure.
